Being Chopin's country man, I heard every interpretation of this tune in a classical way. What I would have loved to see is Frederic Chopin sitting opposite of Peter, playing his interpretation of this magnificent tune. Well done Peter and the trio, I love the classical music but in my opinion it needs a fresh interpretation and that's where come in. Thank you,
Wow! I´m totally blown away. I love the music of Chopin. Actually I admire his music as a composer myself. This performance of Chopin´s music proofs not only that Chopin was a genius, but also that these musicians are incredible performers. I love it.
Fredric Chopin's beautiful piece which inspired Antonio Carlos Jobim to create "How insensitive". A very sentimental melody, with very sad lyrics. which brought tears to my eyes many times...
The amazing beauty of the melody! I also have noticed that it is very similar to the famous "How insensitive" of Antonio Carlos Jobim. and converted into sentimental feelings and tears...
I am grateful to you, Maria Jeremy, for agreeing with me, that the melody of "How Insensitive" reminds us of this composition of Chopin. After all, Chopin was Jobim's favorite classical composer, and, guess what.(?) I am from Brazil, and Jobim, is my favorite composer. Mariza
Such intense, egoless joy to hear these guys play! European jazz (esp. the Dutch) doesn't seem to have all the emotional baggage that Americans do concerning hipness and racial history and guilt!
weskoki Actually your comment is not too far from the truth...Jobim got inpired by this Prelude of Chopin to write How Insensitive...wich is almost exactly the same harmonic structure.
Great, Chopin would be glad to hear this
Saw him last night at Ronnie Scotts - he was AMAZING!!!
GENIAL !!! BRAVISSIMO !!!!!
Great musicians! A joy to hear. Glad I discovered this.

dit zijn gelukkige momenten in mijn leven. Komt recht naar binnen. Prachtig!
Yet again, superb trio.
Geweldig, absolutely fabulous version of a great classical piece.

"An epiphany" is the closest I can get to finding an appropriate word for my experience when I discovered them.
I love Chopin but this interpretation is better than the original in my ears, without a doubt.! I would love to see a HD version online.

Anyone else who gets flashbacks of the late Chick Corea when listening to this?
i think this version has nothing to do with the late great Chick Corea
#legal
Omg.
Peter Beets is a titanic talent, but to make out of the piece of pure world pane, a tra-la-la song (even it is very talented made) - is a barbarismus.
legal is cool in portuguese

Vast niet origineel... maar wát een beest! Fantastisch!
Wie is de drummer?
Gijs Dijkhuizen
Its his brother great players got my vote
@@johnevans3544 The bass player is his brother, Marius Beets.
Wow, posted a comment a few days ago and it has jus gone ... maybe you are not allowed to say diarrhea on youtube?
The worst piece to cover in the entire universe and in all other parallel univeres! This was played in Chopin's funeral.
So what, so any piece of music played at a funeral shouldn't be played again?
In some parallel universes Chopin may be alive and playing jazz.
