My God sublime featuring, great talents of this guys, everyone is so good, the backing vocals, the instrumentation, congratulation you are so great, thanks for sharing your beatiful talents
WOW I wish I could have been there for that. A Steely Dan cover is like a Chicago cover, or a Tool cover in that it takes amazing musicians to pull it off, and you kids absolutely killed it. Thanks for sharing. I wish you all the best.
You didn't miss a lick, a nuance, or a riff. Might as well be watching Donald and the guys. Perfection. Thank you for all the effort you put into this and sharing with us. 😁😁😁😁
How does he know how to play it exactly the same. I been listening to this track for over 2 decades and still don't know how to reproduce these sounds on the drum kit ? Amazing. I tip my hat as I have lost my hair in the years I have been wondering WTF Steve Gadd was playing. This Drummer is a top player.
This is one of the best covers right down to the Steve Gadd very distinct stick click at 5:23 which is often over looked in covers and I thought was a Gadd mistake when I heard it in 1978.
Lol !!! I am also a drummer, and am VERY particular about covering an iconic song EXACTLY like the original. I noticed the same thing in the vid... stunning cover imo, and live, not studio
It was funny seeing people dancing to this. This might be Steely Dan's best song - but it is also their least danceable song. This is also one of the best covers I have heard of any song EVER. The only thing missing were the angular banjos ( just kidding).
This is so, so good. My only regret as a Steely Damned fan is that Bob Tedde wasn't in better voice when they covered the deep cut "Any World (That I'm Welcome To)" from 1975's "Katy Lied" album. No other Steely Dan tribute band on UA-cam has ever included that gorgeous song on their setlist.
I saw in Hank Easton (lead guitarist) channel description that this was done in 1995 in San Diego. I wanted to find more information about the vocalist, but I couldn't find it.
Bob Tedde, the lead singer, was actually the leader of the band at this time, but apparently he left the band. I didn't find much information about him on the internet.
I get that as youth you have listened to this album a gozillion times and know every riff. But as an ensemble, how long did it take you to perfect this? Be honest. 1 year? Months?
Great band! But they need to ditch the singer. He has an irritating, obnoxious stage presence and marginal vocal ability. The keyboardist and drummer are top-notch.
He is a great singer in Steely Damned and Rockola. Check out other videos. I saw them in NYC in '01 at La Bar Bat and they played a four-hour set. Everybody was amazed at his singing!

Really well done - I wasn't expecting that. A talented bunch playing correctly and tight! Thank you for sharing.
These guys rocked it! This song is extremely difficult to play well, and they just brought it home! Would loved to have seen it live!
WOW
I wish I could have been there for that.

The best cover of Aja. Period.
Holy shit this drummer should be touring with The Dan. Great job!
No kidding.... Gadd's solo almost stroke for stroke including the stick click!
These guys were so great. Seeing them live in San Diego back in the late 90's, honestly one of the high points in my life.
Good stuff! And the drummer crushed it. Guitarist also - Well done!
Best Gadd style Aja drums I've ever heard.

Perfection.

killer! Drummer is channeling Steve Gadd for sure

Super killer drumming! Wow!
Jesus! This is such an incredible cover! It sounds like the record. Incredible job by everyone. The drummer even nails the stick click!
Did you skip ahead to check out the drum solo?

Incredible drums. Sound, feel, technique almost identical to the record. A++
Devine.
Great job, especially the triangle. :)
Excellent. 👏👏👏👍👌
Drum solo nailed that stick click. Amazing. Kudos to drums, guitar and piano, synth. Sax was on as well.
These guys are monster players to this day - wow
Fabuleus version! All solos excellent! You realise what a complex composition Ája' is! Chapeau
Okay. I'm impressed! Wow. Damn. I don't have to tell anyone here that this ain't easy. It ain't easy at all.
Nice work!
Well done! 🎶
Wow, I was there! And the concert was note for note. Good job !
We SteelyDanites of the World approve !
Outstandin' ...!
Great performance
Technically one of if not the hardest drum solo ever recorded, and he nailed it. Not surprising given his name.
Not technically hard at all but more feel
And great cymbal work. This guy owned it all the way
I saw them in like 2000 in San Diego. They were good no doubt, played a large set list as I recall.
Amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzing cover....what lovely rendition ...love it
ॐ shanti ॐ
Wonderful Sound Great performance of a Classic👍🏻
Great Awesome Job,,Very hard song to do
Ace great musicians
I didnt know Ivana Trump could sing that well👍👍
Holy Moly!
Damn ! So good !
I love the dancing!
His voice is almost too good. Excellent

Brave people dancing. :)
Oh yes, well played.
I refuse to believe this was 2003
1995

Bravo!
You even did the whistle on cue.
As close to needle drop that I’ve heard so far!
Close to Donald's voice! Didn't expect much, tribute bands are 🤷♀️🤞, but WOW!!! You guys need to get in touch with Rock n Brew's and get a FT gig!
That was 18 years ago. Is this band still performing?
I get that as youth you have listened to this album a gozillion times and know every riff. But as an ensemble, how long did it take you to perfect this?

1 year?
Months?
Purty durned good!!
Anna Nicole Smith on the maracas! Hubba Hubba Hubba!
Whatever happened to Bob Tedde??
Am i the only one here hearing only the drums😁
Fantastic! Piano needs to be mixed a bit better though..
Wish the audio was better but Awesome tribute!
