      Thank you so much Connie!!! Yeah, these are quite important factors!!! So many little details that add up in the end and also take so much time to learn 😅

    Thank you sooo much for this video Myrto! These infos are really helpful for someone like me who have zero knowledge when it comes to taking photos of my artwork. I always set my phone camera to auto...now I must learn how to use the 'manual' instead of relying on auto mode. You're a darling...thank you beautiful one!!

      Hi, thank you for good advice! 🌷 Which camera are you using?
      I’ve tried scanning my acrylic paintings but it ends up being completely different and then it’s very hard to edit it properly. Thank you!

    • @MyrtosArtCorner
      @MyrtosArtCorner  3 роки тому +1

      @@sheylaart Hello, thank you so much for watching!!! I was using my phone camera, but a very good one that could shoot in Raw in very high quality. I've recently bought a scanner and now have experience with both though! I would say that this is a problem you might have either way, the editing is part of the process and depending on the colors you have used, sometimes it can indeed be very hard to balance it all out! If you decide to try photographing, make sure that your lighting is daylight bulbs, but also that the settings in your camera are also set for daylight! It gets easier with practice though, you'll slowly learn what needs fixing and it's usually similar changes every time! I hope it helpes, I wish I could be of more help!

    This was very informative. Thank you, Myrto! I am also interested in your phone mount maker.💗

    • @MyrtosArtCorner
      @MyrtosArtCorner  5 років тому

      Thank you so much Loren!!!! It really isn't worth doing what I did, instead of getting a real phone mount to be fair! Too much trouble and not the best solution, I'm just using it for as long as it works and then I'll get a better one too! If you look for overhead arm phone holders you'll see they're truly cheap! 🤷‍♀️

    Is there any cheap alternatives for lighting?

    • @MyrtosArtCorner
      @MyrtosArtCorner  2 роки тому

      Thank you so much for watching! Honestly, any daylight bulb will do, just try to have one on each side and a bit further away so that the light is evenly spread. You could use desk lamps if you have them and replace the bulbs with daylight, then see how you can create a setup that will work best!

    Good points. I like your phone mount. Did you get that off Amazon by chance?

    • @MyrtosArtCorner
      @MyrtosArtCorner  5 років тому +1

      Thank you so much Mitchell!!! It's a long story but that's actually a microphone mount that I adjusted to hold my phone 😅 You can find proper ones on Amazon though for like 10-15 dollars if you look for smartphone mounts or overhead arm phone holders!

      Thank you so much for watching!!! So happy it was useful!!! I have a Huawei Mate 10 Pro, it's 2 years old now but still good enough for that! I'm sure there are better options out there too at the moment! It's important to be able to shoot in RAW format so keep that in mind 😊 I use photoshop for editing, I can't say if there are alternatives for editing RAW files unfortunately, but it can't be done with basic photo editing programs for sure! I wish I could help more 😐

    • @MyrtosArtCorner
      @MyrtosArtCorner  3 роки тому +2

      @@CarlosRibeiroArtist That's always the best way to go, see what works best for you and the specific phone! I've only tried Redbubble and Fine Art America and didn't have any luck with either to be honest, but I think it depends a lot on the kind of art you're creating and how much you can market yourself. I know others have better luck with them, and getting a printer can be expensive so I'd suggest you give it a go before changing your plans 🤷‍♀️
