What did you think of the GS20? Do you think a shorter rope and higher speed might make that slalom wake a little more passable? Was that a stock wave? I’m 6’3 235 and am worried there won’t be enough push. I know I’ll at least have to piggyback the hard tanks with sacs. I just don’t want to have to deal with lead or any visible added weight.

I was pleasantly surprised by the GS20. I had always read that it was too little for a decent surf wake and that the slalom wake was 'ok'. The skiers agreed that shorter and faster was an improvement but you need to be a decent skier for that (which I am not). We are all around 6' or under and 160-190lbs and found the surf wake very good - better than expected. Again, I have read that for larger surfers it needs more ballast but I would hope that piggyback bags would be enough. This boat is different than my own SAN210 with the ballast all sub-floor so I'm not 100% if piggyback is easy or not. I agree with you about avoiding lead...
