Why is it that when it comes to dating, Black women seem to be the last choice on the list? Are Black women undateable? Or, are men too caught up in the stereotype of the Black woman that they don't give them a chance?

THANK YOU! I have notice that for the past 50 years. I am almost near 70 but over the decades, too many black women have lost their feminine qualities to where they have become insecure in their womanhood. They carry themselves as dudes. They dress, act, and behave like dudes which explains why so many of them have this aura of attracting bisexual black men who are on the DL.

You must understand that the system of white supremacy destroyed the patriarchal leadership in the black household by establishing welfare reform. Our black man cannot function as leaders & protectors when government money is favorable to single black mothers.
We as black women must first acknowledge the root cause of why we lost our feminine qualities which is a big "turn-off" to most men of all races; but a big "turn-on" to bisexual down-low black men because they are attracted to the masculine energy that some black women possess. Why? Because the welfare system kicked our blck fathers out of the household to where single black mothers had to take on the role as mother and father. Therefore, single black mothers had to force themselves into becoming masculine with a small touch of femininity which is unrecognizable.

Why do we have to be strong all the time while other women get to be feminine and soft. I rejected the narrative set before me as a black woman “strong and independent.” I saw where only 25% of black women will ever marry and was like hmmmm let me do the opposite of what I see. Be quiet, smile, kind and submissive. Been with my husband since I was 22 and it’s been 7 years.
That's the way to go. Works with men of any race, any era. A pleasant, feminine, pleasing woman will get plenty of attention from decent men. Looks like you're "in it to win it," in the vernacular of the day.

One of the problems with this conversation is that there is no universal definition of "strong.' I love a strong black woman, however, strong doesn't mean loud, domineering, classless, disrespectful, intolerable etc. I love a soft gentle woman who is kind, thoughtful, caring but is fully capable of analyzing circumstances, offering thought responses to hard situations, resolving conflict without resorting to out of control masculine bravado. I'm convinced that most confuse strong with ghetto, ratchet, unreasonable etc. My mother was strong but managed to get what she needed by being persuasive with kindness and respect.

By the time black boys and girls grow up to realize life is not a music video..the men have criminal records ,behind bars or dead and the women are unattractive and worn down with 3-5 children on government assistance. Even if she has degrees - most men don't want women with convict baby daddies. The problem is we're BOTH the problem and blaming one another rather than acknowledging this and elevating ourselves has gotten us no where.

I have to agree with your opinion, and it's the truth that can apply to all races of women. Based on my experiences as a black man, I've dated women of various races, including black women (fewer in number than other races), and I'll admit that there are some who are more successful than me. That doesn't bother me at all since they earned it. The reason that I decided to date them is because they're attract me with their personalities.
The figures of success are skewed, because of onlyfans and other vacuous "Temporary fix"social media. Let's see what the figures are for Different age groups and I bet they fall off a cliff, after 35
I love Back Women and I am intentionally committed to dating within my race, but I have to say they make it hard. If I could sum up in one word why it is soooo difficult to date and be involved for long periods of time with a black women, I would say that word is froward. If black women would tweek these qualities, I think most Black Men would date within their race.

From my own personal experience,It comes from home,even with my own brother who’s a black male ,all his life he’s been told by our elders that lighter is better and thats just what they were taught also back in the day even now they say praise my cousins for being “almost white”or “yellow” while there is only of hand full of us brown skins in my family,my great aunt planted that ignorant seed into her 5 boys and none of them have ever dated or married within their own race ,I think that if we as black women want things to change we gotta start planting these positive images into our seeds that will grow to be men,that black is beautiful,love a person for the humility and their character not for the color also not to be ignorant and down black women just to make non black women feel confident

I used to try to date within my race but because Im an average joe with an average job as a diesel mechanic, a lot of women arent down to date because they think Im lower than them ig.
While there ARE sweet black women out there, it seems they are very hard to find. Its cool to better yourself in life but that isn’t going to be too much of a deterrent. Whats extremely unattractive is the loud, bad attitudes and this isnt just limited to black women either. Ive dated white girls and mexican girls with bad attitudes too and left their asses. With a lot of black women it feels like a battle for dominance. I don’t want to “handle” or “put up with” a woman. - This is just my experience with black women and Ive dated mostly black women. I’d totally love to seriously date and settle down with a black woman if I could find a girl that is kind, gentle, and sweet.

There’s a difference between strong and loud. A lot of you get that mixed up often. Just because you are loud does not mean you are strong. Often times loudness is a outward representation of insecurity. Scenario, a black woman who is a CEO of a prosperous business 7 figure salary, nice home, nice car, nice everything. If the janitor who is a strong masculine black man, has a dream and vision, has a work ethic, no prior felonies, no criminal past-nothing but a job, a grind, and a dream. If this man approaches that woman with all the confidence in the and with nothing but what he has to offer, she will shoot him down LOUDLY. Flip the scenario a man that has everything riches, fame, her greater or even her equal. If that man approaches her, she is wet before he even tells him her name. It’s not strength, it’s insecurity, women have been taught to think that riches, and toys are what makes you a man. When that is far from the case. And your not unapproachable you’re just not worth it at that point.

I’m a black man(not dark skinned but I have the hair and I am brown) Decent income, average height 5’9”-10” on a good day, educated, play guitar, fix cars etc. I’m a stable well rounded person, in very good shape. I don’t have problems getting women at all, never have (except when I was a lame 19 year old)
I’ve never dated a black girl. I’m in my 30’s now. Never even slept with one. It’s not because I didn’t want to! I never met one black girl in college or in my life that was in shape, feminine, kind with regular interests, cooperative. White girls don’t treat me like an enemy. They actually show me love and say and do things I appreciate. I’m gonna keep with my grind but if I didn’t meet one in college I probably never will. Black girls don’t even talk to me.
