- Hello everyone! In this video I unbox and give my first impressions on a Case Small congress with black canvas micarta scales. The model number is 10268 and the blade steel is Case's Trusharp stainless steel. Hope you enjoy the video!

Intrigued by the Congress pattern, but my issue with Case is this. You mentioned the bolsters have this "brushed" look. Wonder if it was intentional or if they just failed to finish the knife correctly. They are really hit or miss. Another UA-camr calls it the Case lottery.
The congress is a great pattern, but I am bias towards it, since it's my favorite. If you're looking to pick one up, Rough Ryder has a great selection and they're inexpensive. The brushed/satin finish is intentional. After looking into it, I found that the other knives in this black micarta family have the same finish. My guess is they chose this finish, because it's better at hiding scratches and with micarta being a great handle material for a work knife I would say they made the right decision. It's also nice to have a variety in finish choices. Case are hit or miss when buying online. From my experience, they are most of the time good rather than bad. Also, my one experience with the Case warranty department was a good one, so I don't have much worry about buying one online. Thank you for your wonderful comment and thanks for watching, my friend! Great looking Small Congress. This Congress has a matte finish on the bolsters, looks good with the Micarta. Thanks for sharing and God Bless.
