- 1000h and over 3000 Quests with Switch Axe later I start to prepare for Monster Hunter WIlds by learning as much as possible and every little technique about my favorite weapon!
Seeing that totally planned reload gave me confidence in my own gameplay

I appreciate the no zsd spam. It gets old so quickly and this video right here is why i find switch axe so enjoyable to watch. There's just something about it's attacks and all the combos that is so fun to see! Subscribed!

It's the same for me... ZSD spam always results in the highest DPS but it is too repetetive... especially when there is so much amazing stuff about this weapon as you mentioned!

My Switch Axe gameplay is pretty average but I'm practising. I've just now decided to do a full playthrough (with cutscene skip because no) on Switch Axe, to be as ready for Wilds as possible. Looking into the Switch Axe mindset, when i still mained Charge Blade made the weapon seem so fun but it took me NOT using it to actually figure out some stuff. Mainly, the morph slashes from rolls but not hops. That was difficult to get around and I still do it now but I've mostly got it down. I'm gonna study the hitboxes, animation lock durations and everything else i can to get a better feel for Switch Axe as an entity. I love watching you crush the challenges this game sets up and I'm hoping to do the same
I bet you'll be demolishing anything thrown at you in no time! Keep it up! Coming from other weapons is always a challenge of course but take your time! There's still plenty of time until Wilds releases... unfortunately

Thank you so much. I only go for the ZSD when it is 100% safe and every part needed is tenderized... and sometimes I just don't feel like it lol especially spamming it over and over gets a bit boring even though it is one of the best DPS possible.

How much evade window/extender do u usually run for these runs?
Evade window usually 3-5 but evade extender 0. I never use it in Iceborne.

@@frfrongong9712 No, because the only thing that increases with extender is distance. Evade window is the one that actually increases the s.
@@frfrongong9712 nope, extender only increases the distance of evading moves but does nothing to the i-frames. Only evade window will help with evading roars and so on.

Full Fatalis gear with kulve legs and Lightbreak SA
And for skills I run evade window, power prolonger, tool specislist and divine blessing next to all your standard damage skills with an agitator charm.
@@BloodyWyverian I don't have kulve, she one shot me in my old armour and I never touched it again
@@stevemansour2565 you can use fatalis gear with alatreon arms as an alternative. Or a mix of raging brachy and teostra armor but I'd have to look into that one again.
