I love your thumbnails. They’re better than TheftKings, because they aren’t clickbait. Please don’t be like him. It’s bad enough we have TheftKing and Puggos Pizzeria acting like they’re “FNAF fans”, when they aren’t.
Your theory is very good and helps me to formulate mine which also includes other data, although it is very difficult to expose this interesting point of view when there are toxic fans who think they are right instead of giving their point of view in a more respectful way.

I still think it’s possible Burntrap is still around. He could be inside Tangle, just now seen, or his remains are in the area where you fight Burntrap in the Afton Ending. Even the vent that Monty uses to get to you in the afton ending is glowing purple.
Still, I’d love to know the truth, but I’m sure we’ll figure it out eventually. 👍

I just wanted to say it’s been SO hard to find anyone else who shares the whole William still being here theories, I heavily think he’s still got some sort of interaction and maybe even isn’t gone for good yet, I’m tired of everyone saying the mimic is this the mimic is that mimic is everything UGH, you and ID Fantasy are like a breath of fresh air to me, thank you for that ❤

I don't think that our bunny guy is dead and even encountered with Blob because he always comes back, he could escaped from Blob, beating Blob, running, etc. And maybe Burntrap almost got Freddy, Gregory and Vanessa then the eartquake happened, gave them time for escape from Afton
Yeah that makes a lot of sense and I also think that the blob actually has the crying child's soul in it and wants to help Mike who is possessing freddy escape and I also believe that the crying child was possessing ennard and molten freddy and then in the fnaf 6 fire turned into the blob.
There isn’t really exact evidence to say that the princess quest ending is cannon at all and here’s why:
1: the mask that Cassie finds looks completely different than Vanny her mask.
2: if Freddy escaped with only his head, that would mean his body is still in the pizzaplex, and the one we see is a prototype.
3: Roxy, Monty and Chica don’t have their ‘Freddy upgrade’ parts in Ruin, the ONLY ending that required all of the 3 parts is the burntrap ending(which is stated as true ending). If the princess quest ending is cannon. Then where did Chica her voicebox (or Monty’s claws and legs) go?
Actually for that last part if you find the 'Chicas Feeding Frenzy' arcade game and play it you can obtain Chicas Voice box and put it back inside of Chica who is slumping against the wall in the bathroom (Cassie says something like "ew do I really have to do this?"). She'll give a last line saying "I Smell Pizza!" Before seemingly deactivating or something. Also while I don't remember where you can Find monty's bottom half of his body in a tall pile of random stuff

I also agree that William is Glitchtrap and Burntrap, I mean how did he have the experience to use Vanessa as a tool if he mimics, he used Henry as a tool to help him, hide his murders, he used Scrap Baby and Molten Freddy to get back at his son and Henry cause he helped him, he wrote a very convincing letter to Michael to go to Afton Robotics and Sister Location to fetch his sister and he knows it worked cause of Scrap Baby and Molten Freddy and his son Michael is a corpse like him minus the springlock suit ofc, plus how does he know about the animtronics, Freddy, Bonnie and Chica so well and able to figure out how Roxy and Monty tick
If William Afton isn't Glitchtrap in any regard then how do you explain away the considered canon statement in help wanted that a 'strange circuit board covered in a strange gooey substance was scanned in to the game and it's code took hold all by itself.' that sounds like a springtrap circuit board and the goo is burnt flesh like seen on burntrap. Hence Afton being Glitchtrap. Glitchtrap IS even referred to as 'HE' by tape girl implying that Glitchtrap is an entity rather than malicious code.

As someone who also believes Burntrap is still Afton, here’s more proof if you ever need it for future videos:
Cassidy is still around as the princess, and she wouldn’t care about some dumb AI if she still has the real William in UCN. Also Glitchtrap in Princess Quest says “I always come back let me out” it would make sense for William to say this as the Mimic never saw or heard William say this line, and he only says it after he kills Michael in Pizzeria Simulator. And if Burntrap was the Mimic it now has a body and can climb out the sink hole if it wanted to so “let me out” doesn’t make sense either.
I’d also like to say that the Vanni mask we see in Ruin isn’t the same one Vanessa left behind. Early in Ruin, when we see Helpi without the mask, he says it’s another pro for being a “class-V technician.” It’s clear that Fazbear Entertainment made some effort into reconstructing the Pizzaplex after it’s collapse, so they gave it an Augmented Reality for their best technicians to access certain areas of the building and anything digital more efficiently. Meaning Vanessa could’ve made more Vanni masks, and decided to design it off Vanny as another Fazbear cover up. When she and Gregory discovered the Mimic that’s when the my isntalled Mxes to make security nodes so the Mimic can’t get out of the building if it escapes the room and people can’t get to it physically if being lured.
Other than all this I stick with this theory, great job!

Very good point, however I do think there are some counterpoints
Cassidy absolutely does not care about the mimic and though we saw in the files the princess named Cassidy. The name has changed in the files, so that could have been changed and we know this because it isn’t the first time something like this has happened. The box from FNaF 4’s contents were changed from before and after to fit where they were going with the story.
The whole “I always come back let me out” is a very good point on your part but we know also that the mimic was used in the development of FNaF VR so fazbear entertainment probably fed it some content from the “rogue indie game developer” which is probably how it learned that line, very good point though.
The Vanni mask being there could definitely be the one from princess quest as the one from the ending is an actual mask and not a face covering like the Vanny suit.
The technicians probably didn’t use the masks to get around even though they definitely tried to repair the pizzaplex. The Mimic could have overheard fazbear entertainment talking to the technicians and tweaked the mask to lure them in, but how is that possible? Well even though the mimic is locked up in the basement it definitely still has some level of control over the pizzaplex as it seems to know where the security nodes are and where MXES is in the AR world, possibly indicating that it has some control over the ruined pizzaplex and Vanni mask
And Gregory probably knew the mimic was there after freeing Vanessa and they weren’t the first down there as Fazbear entertainment wanted to use the mimic endoskeleton to clean up down there to turn it into a museum before it went rogue and killed everyone so they probably knew it was still there
@@chimkinmayonaise9459 Ok, but that doesn't change the fact that Cassidy's name was still there, along with Old Man Consequences as the red lord. Those two are very important characters in UCN, and what is UCN? William being forced into dormancy to live an eternal nightmare of him getting his ass ripped apart by robots. Steel Wool knew what they were doing by having these characters return, they're not just gonna do that then remove them and pretend that it's nothing. So to turn around and say these two characters aren't Cassidy and Old Man Consequences risks the overall story of Security Breach being screwed over in a not so pretty way. So if Cassidy isn't the princess, then what is the princess? I know some people think it's Vanessa but she's in her Vanny outfit skipping towards us while we play it so how the heck is her soul in an arcade machine? On the other finger the princess is just a game character we use to kill Glitchtrap and that's it. That sucks from a lore and narrative stand points.
We have absolutely ZERO confirmation that a line of mimic1 program was used for Fnaf VR. Sure there's evidence with like Glitchtrap mimicking voices and having drool and tears, but Glitchtrap's attempt at mimicking lines isn't perfect. We know he can mind-control people so he probably haunted whoever was tape girl and manipulated in into saying that. May I also add that he only mimics one line. Just one. And if Glitchtrap is meant t be a representation of Williams agony that explains the tears and drooling to, as William can't stop having one of his own kids die.
Other than looks, the Vanni mask has nthing in common with the PQ Vanny mask. The digital Vanny mask was just required for Vanessa to directly speak to Glitchtrap in Help Wanted and for Cassidy to kill him in Princess Quest. The Vanni mask being the literal mask from the arcade is a ridiculous stretch.
Helpi literally says "another faz-mazing benefit of being a class-V technician" when you have the chip inserted into your head after equipping the mask. What else does "class-V" technician mean other than "these masks were used for the best technicians"?
I don't deny that the Mimic has some presence in the AR, since Helpi's eyes keep turning orange like the Mimic whenever he puts on a personality. As for Fazbear wanting to use the Mimic to make a museum, that's all considering if the Tales are even canon which probably aren't no matter what scholastic says. Even if they are the last Tales book released the other day and it ends with the Mimic getting springlocked and deactivated. Plus Gregory claims he doesn't know what the Mimic is other than it's dangerous and it's been trapped in the room for a period of time. So Vanessa probably doesn't know what the Mimic is either because she would of had to let Gregory know about it when Glitchtrap was defeated.

The common theory behind Springtrap's existence was that they scanned circuit boards from Springtrap into the VR game, but there's no evidence that it was actually from Springtrap. They just saw they scanned circuit boards to recreate old performances and personalities. That's very similar to what Mimic was meant to do: record and mimic performance routines. So it seems likely that the circuit boards that lead to Glitchtrap's appearance actually came from Mimic.
This is basically outright confirmed in The Storyteller, where we see a program infect the Pizzaplex's systems, change the animatronics' personalities and do spooky stuff with VR games (which we're set to see in the upcoming Tiger Rock book). The connection to Glitchtrap is obvious, which links back to Mimic since at the end of the story it's revealed that the program's name is straight up Mimic1.The Glitchtrap costume is similar to the costumes the Mimic wears. Glitchtrap is heard mimicking Tape Girl’s voice. (You can hear a slowed down version of Tape Girl saying “Hello, can you hear me?” coming from Glitchtrap) So Glitchtrap mimics voices. Tapegirl says the circuit boards scanned in VR were to speed up the path finding and such, and FE’s Mimics were made to analyze the animatronic’s routines and movements so scanning their circuit board would do that. Tiger Rock shows us that the Mimic takes form of and mimics things that would make sense in that environment. The Mimic’s also shown to act as the character it's portraying when in a costume. Both of these things would explain why the Mimic would act like Afton and wear a rabbit costume in Help Wanted. In Ruin, Candy Cadet’s story matches both Glitchtrap’s in Help Wanted and the Mimic’s in Ruin, establishing a connection between Mimic and Glitchtrap along with the story again showing Glitchtrap copying a “lullaby” (Tapegirl’s voice) in order to trick the player into infecting their mind.Originally, the introduction to the Mimic after destroying the concrete wall with a forklift was going to play out much different. Cassie would've been greeted with cake, and the Mimic was going to emerge from behind a curtain to reveal himself.
If it isn't obvious, this is a parallel to the Pizza Party ending in Help Wanted, where Glitchtrap also emerges from behind some curtains to lure us away and kill us.
EDIT: For those of you who pointed out that it's scrapped; yeah no the intention of Steel Wool behind this remains, sorry if you don't like how this stuff doesn't get confirmed through the games themselves, but this is 100% still confirmation that the Mimic is Glitchtrap.Vanny got freed as Princess Quest was holding her soul trapped, as we see her mind get locked away in Help Wanted, in a room we unlock at the end of Princess Quest. The animatronics could be mindlessly hunting Cassidy as they are beginning to break free from the infected circuits or have gone haywire. The Mimic not looking like Burntrap can be explained by the earthquake or by Vanessa taking it off of it so it couldn’t extract more of Afton’s agony, explaining why the eyes are no longer purple and black. It’s seen no-one since the end of SB, so it has no reason to start fully mimicking someone else. Glitchtrap=The Mimic. Getting rid of the virus wouldn’t stop it from mimicking Afton, it would end its grip on everything else, explaining why it lures Cassie. Plus it mimicking Afton explains Cassie’s name being so close to Cassidy - it is mimicking Afton and fate has caused it to inevitably create its own vengeful spirit.
And if burntraps the mimic so is glitchtrap and what do you know:
You also need to think logically about this. Burntrap is a rabbit animatronic that can distort electrics, is trapped in a underground pizzeria, and is connected to springlocks. The Mimic we see in the epilogues of the books is a rabbit animatronic that can distort electrics, is trapped in a underground pizzeria, and is connected to springlocks. It just makes logical sense if the Mimic and Burntrap are the same character.Ignoring the metal claws and the fact that the Mimic has the ability to not only repair itself using old parts but also change its design to fit into any suit that’s available, this isn’t really a good argument considering the other characters in Ruin. Roxanne Wolf has a completely different endo (not just the head), Freddy’s shattered design has new and old parts, and Candy Cadet’s design changed in Ruin with no real reason.
Another argument is that MXES is used to keep the Mimic sealed away and the MXES machine looks old, and therefore the Mimic was stuck in the room by the time Burntrap existed. Although it is true that MXES was most likely older than we first expected, we do know that the Mimic was locked away after the ending of Security Breach at the very least. We know this because we literally see Gregory had a previous encounter with the Mimic after SB, therefore meaning that the Mimic wasn’t sealed away until Gregory and Vanessa were set free from mimic1. Therefore the Mimic wasn’t sealed away when Burntrap existed, and they could still be the same character.In the Tales from the Pizzaplex epilogues, it is made specifically clear that the Mimic was wearing rabbit ears, which already suggests they could be Burntrap. But that in itself isn't much to go off of. But the Tales from the Pizzaplex epilogues also tell us how an unfortunate teenage girl Kelly became victim to the Mimic. Peeling open their body and crawling inside, wearing her bloody carcass as a costume. So now, the Mimic is an endoskeleton with rabbit ears and a corpse. Without the Springbonnie suit, that is literally Burntrap. Now, I really do see this as a parallel to the Mimic wearing Afton's corpse, and Burntrap isn't literally Kelly, or maybe it is, and he did explode into fleshy bits like the the man in room 1280.
In Tales from the Pizzaplex, the Mimic was also noted to have something else that is interesting. An electronic magnetic pulse, aka an EMP. This allows them to drain any devices they approach or downright shut them, if targeted. It seems the Mimic does this in Ruin by disabling Cassies flashlight, but Burntrap may also have been doing this. It's believed Burntrap was trying to hack into Freddy during his boss fight, but what if he wasn't. What if Burntrap, the Mimic, was focusing his EMP on Freddy to drain his battery. He does this because when he's drained of his battery, he exits safe mode, which is the only reason the Glitchtrap Virus, Mimic1, is unable to corrupt him. Without his battery, safe mode turns off, and Glitchtrap enters him; making his hostile.
In Ruin, we see the Mimic do something it does in the books, curl its arm. Why does it do this? And why does it connect it with Burntrap? Well, the reason it does this because in Tales, they were initially created to mimic their creator, Edwins son, Davids behavior. David always carried a plushie around, so the Mimic held its arm up in an odd way in an attempt to mimic this behavior. We see it do this in Ruin, AND Burntrap does this in Security Breach. As the cavern is collapsing, Burntraps arm is curled up, the same arm.
Weaker point, but still notable evidence: They're both directly under the Pizzaplex, so it'd be quite off for two characters with near the same roles to be in the same exact area.
Why does the Mimic look different?
This is pretty simple to explain, the real-world explanation being Burntraps endoskeleton beneath the corpse and suit is a mess. Floating pieces that can not be covered up. So, of course, a redesign was necessary.
Now, why does the Mimic look different in-universe? Personally, I don't think Burntrap existed. I think they would've if Glitchtrap had Vanny succeed in recovering the Mimic and merged the endoskeleton with Aftons remains, but he didn't, Gregory freed Vanessa, so Burntrap isn't canon. But in the sense that he was, there's two reasons, maybe a third, combining the first two reasons.
(1) The Mimic changed parts: we know the Mimic can and does do this, just look at them, their made of different pieces welded together, scraps from over the years. Who's to say Vanny didn't just throw some parts together to replace the Mimics parts so that Aftons corpse could better be merged onto it. It does change parts anyway when it wears the costume in the scooper ending.
(2) The Mimic shapeshifted: Yes, the Mimic can do this. It's very possible that it simply shifted itself, changing its appearance when wearing Aftons body and the Springbonnie suits. And again, it would've also done this when it wore the costume in the scooper ending.
(3) Shapeshifted with swapped parts: Maybe it's both reasoning. The Mimic changed their endoskeleton parts and, with them, shapeshifted when it wore Aftons corpse.
And that is a wrap, I hope you guys enjoyed this post explaining why the Mimic looks different in Ruin. it simply was a case of just changing their appearance to better wear the remains of Afton.

I KNEW it! I KNEW it! Burntrap got absorbed by the Blob! AND, I imagine that his Glitchtrap essence will eventually highjack the Blob's body, if it hasn't already, and he will come back once again as Blobtrap.
You use a lot of clips from different FNAF animations and many of them looks really good. Can you post links to the full animations, please?
I can’t deny that you’ve made a convincing argument. Although, given to how Gregory draws a replica to what happens to Burntrap before he’s snatched by Tangle, either what he witnessed was a parallel to what truly happened, or it’s just there for mystery.
Also, looking at The Mimic, his left hand has 5 fingers with claws, which is the same as Burntrap. Even with The Mimic having 4 fingers on his right hand, but Burntrap has 2 bone fingers on his right hand, then 3 fingers with claws. It’s possible that Burntrap is when Vanny was almost complete with fixing Afton. Given that his torso and head is being held together with scrap metal.
To top it all off, the FNAF Encyclopedia says that Burntrap isn’t the canon name to this character. It’s hard to say exactly to what’s really happening, and it does make us question to if William should be considered relevant to FNAFs current timeline.
Williams signature line is “I always come back”, so could we take that as literal or figurative? I do think William is still somewhat around, he’s just not relevant yet.
I’d love to hear anyone else’s thoughts.

Could you make a video explaining what you think is going to happen now that the kids have absorbed Wiliam? Maybe they just return him to the UCN? Or will Afton take control of the blob?
Well since neither of those are confirmed, I don't know.
In fact we don't even know if the MCI kids are in the Blob, or if they'd have to power to put him back in UCN.

7:01 This is not really an evidence for Burntrap though because Burntrap's recharge station is a long way from where Mimic is trapped in. Also game info suggests that Gregory is missing at the time of Ruin.

It’s the mimic. After we see Roxy here Gregory’s voice when we find her she runs off and the Mimic says that exact same voice line through the Roxy Talkie.

OMG this actually makes sense because In one fan video burntrap takes over the blob and comes back to chase Gregory across the Plex before he and Freddy with Vanessa ultimately escape.
I do want to add something to Gregory being down into the pizza place because of how Mimic is using Gregory's voice and if Gregory wasn't down their then Mimic would have never been able to mimic Gregory because their would have been no voice same for Mimic to hear

After the burntrap ending, it's showed they actually make it out. also note how freddy says "I do not think". also, freddy and vanny have been there before
@@chimkinmayonaise9459 I think it's safe to say not everything that happens any ending people believe happened exactly, including PQ. Ruin shows the blob tunneled out, and that would've been an important detail to add to the PQ ending, which means even if you believe PQ is the only ending happened, you can't deny that it didn't happen exactly as showed in SB

There's notes/item descriptions in ruin to say construction work was going on in the lower regions of the pizzaplex including where the old pizzeria simulator location is, this explains away the cleaning of the burntrap arena; the site was renovated and that explains the construction equipment found down there by Cassie. Gregory's ACTUAL backpack is even found down there, further proving he did venture down there and leave in a hurry; I'm pretty sure he's missing his backpack in the burntrap ending.(See the cutscene here 2:28 ) This proves that princess quest ALONE cannot be the canon ending as Gregory keeps his backpack in that one, so the burntrap ending should occupy the last slot in a chain of endings that lead to ruin. Cassie also uses a tunnel that looks suspiciously like the one the blob makes dragging burntrap away as well in order to access the m.x.e.s control area(old pizzeria). The earthquake according to notes in ruin was caused by 'something tunneling out from under the pizzaplex.' the sinkhole at Roxy raceway is also nearby the elevator Gregory took to face burntrap in security breach. If you combine the opening cutscene of disassemble vanny with princess quest's ending and then burntrap's ending you get a comprehensive look at all events players witnessed in ruin.
This a great theory and I want it to be canon
The only problem with this theory is how did Gregory get past the blob? In the Burntrap ending you have to be inside Freddy in order to pass the blob or otherwise you will die, and this theory says that the PQ ending happened before Burntrap ending and in the PQ ending, Freddy's body gets disassembled and Freddy's head is detached from the body so how did Gregory get down in the basement and do the Burntrap boss fight.
remember, vanessa is freed from the virus. i think only vanessa knows the other way to get to the burning room.
The Blob/Tangle left the sinkhole before Gregory and Vanessa went down there to seal the Mimic.

The books are a re-imagining of the Five Nights at Freddy's story... So, yes, the books aren't canon to the game universe unfortunately. I like the books personally, and some great theories can be built into the games from them.

Speaking of, Stitchwraith would have been canon, which he never was, again, even hinted at in the games. Should I continue? If books are canon there is sooooo many contradictions to the whole foundation of the canon, but I think the Henry point is the strongest, since he is a character we know probably the most about, where he started, his story, and eventual death.

well it could have been that the vanny ending was the only ending that actually happened and burntrap just never left the charging station and the blob is just roaming around as if it never encountered burntrap and the earthquake could have just happened because the endings cant possible affect natural events like earthquakes or tornados etc. and vanesssa and gregory could have went down there to just create the MXES to keep the MIMIC in captivity and never went there to go see burntrap, and gregory accidentally left his backpack in that room where the mimic is, not knowing that the backpack would actually help the mimic in its goals to free itself and ya thats what i think really happened to burn trap idk :)

I have been brewing a hot take Faz-Pothesis [it can be a theory if proven]: the Princess Quest ending is not the canon ending, bits of the others are, but it still happens.
By this I mean, Gregory doesn't make up the things seen in the comic pages, he witnessed them and together they tell what HE did.
Princess Quest isn't done by Gregory, it is done by email guy/HW2 Protag/Jeremy/Cassie's Dad/Bonnie Bro or whoever [it is implied that all these are the same character, but all this needs is that we play as the Princess Quest email tech in HW2, as they are the one to actually finish the Princess Quest games, NOT Gregory.
Think of it like in Resident Evil with the Zapping system, where 2 characters are doing different parts of the story. The headless Freddy is a result of Greg and Fred returning, possibly to recharge or repair Freddy and finish up loose ends [like the sinkhole]. Burntrap is the equivalent of William Birkin in RE2 quest A with Gregory , Vanny is Mr X in Quest 2 with Jeremy Cassiesdad
Mabye Williams and the mimics body are different they could have the same Mimic program

I dont ever recall William canonically having glowing purple eyes. They're usually depicted as gray.
As for the model change between Burntrap and Mimic, Burntrap is reused assets and wasn't ever really meant to be seen close up.
Burntrap also DID exist, we only never saw him. The only way Burntrap wouldn't exist in the princess quest ending was if Steelwool just added Burntrap for no reason but if that's not the case, he was still down there, just never seen as Burntrap.
Afton's voice isn't really a good point for the Mimic since he's known for mimicking voices and does it for both Gregory, Cassie, and Roxy in Ruin.
The Blob has always been canon, iirc it's mentioned in the Tales from the Pizzaplex stories. It's the result of The Mimic killing a bunch of people and throwing them into the same pile he threw the endoskeletons into. Makes sense why The Blob killed him in the Burntrap ending.
If what you said is correct and Gregory did see Burntrap, him saying he doesn't know what it is sounds more like him not knowing where it came from instead of him never seeing it. Besides, Gregory knew that it was chasing Cassie and he didn't seem surprised he knew about the Mimic, implying he may have discovered him when he went down.

I had a theory that Burntrap was the bunny entity in Ruin. Burntrap had his own agenda against the Mimic so after burning he turned into "Glitchtrap" as the bunny entity, trying to stop the Mimic's plan so he could carry out his own... But it's been debunked.

Afton's consciousness was never in Glitchtrap it was the Mimic program being used through help wanted to make development easier.
