When is RekordBox going to mimic the folders function like serato? If I click on a folder in RB, I don’t see all the tracks in that folder like I do with Serato. Why can’t RB do that? That is a useful function. Currently, we have to search every playlist within that folder to find a specific track.

I tried the auto cue points with Mixed In Key and I didn't like it. It wouldn't be usable even if it got 90% of the cue points right, but it can't even reach that. False cue points are too dangerous and confusing to keep in your collection. Cleaning the trash up is more work than setting the cue points manually. 🌈

I think I read something about the 7 update that says you need to upgrade your subscription package to creative or the professional package, where you actually have to pay for Rekordbox by the month or the yearly plan in order to use the update. I think it’s because it’s A.I. powered now, and A.I. is usually paid for its service. A sneaky new profiting trick for Rekordbox and Pioneer. To be honest, if you still want to choose to pay for this update, wait until 7.1 or .2, because many are experiencing this first release having some major bugs that causes damage to some controllers (powering them off at random), hot cues being deleted, and sample effects resetting to default settings. It’s like day one opening the software on your computer all over again and there’s a lot of work to be done. So if I were you, I would just stick with 6.8.5 for now.
The Radars are probably the biggest innovation…if they can be first to create a UA-cam Content ID validation tool that will be top of the castle. 🤙🏽😎🖤 thanks Mojaxx
that would be neat, but it's also not a huge hassle to use scripting to read an exported m3u playlist file and concat 30 or 60 seconds into a black frame video using ffmpeg and upload it to youtube.

I can't seem to get the link option in export mode... I usually hook up my XDJ-XZ and browse music in export mode and load it trough link. Where do I find this option? It doesn't show up when connecting the dj unit to the laptop with usb, like it used to in version 6. Could someone please help?
The browser tabs were definitely 'influenced' by djay, which has had them for years. It also seems like djay is still by far the leader for beatgrid analysis since their recent big upgrade.
I'd like to see a view in Rekordbox that mimics the view from hardware screens. I can sit with Rekordbox all day if I want but only get the hardware screens (and their limitations) when it's time to play in public.
If people don’t mind wanting to start to pay a month or a year for the creative or professional packages of rekordbox to use this update and beyond because it’s AI-powered, then hooray. I don’t know if they’ll be able to keep a free package plan for this update and beyond. We’ll have to stay tuned for their updated news about the future upgrades.
I haven't touched the decks since the 1210 mk 2 days. Checking out video on djing now is alien to me. I just hope there is still some skill involved as it seems cheap when you have the computer do the work
you can be lazy and let the computer do most of the work to produce a passionless, sterile mix, or you can put in work into track selection and use some of the many "new" options like loops, cues, rolls, effects, stems and keyshift to explore new possibilities and give your mix your own signature. the skill threshold to qualify as a DJ that's mixing sinks, but the threshold to stand out and do something unique rises...
It's a nightmare, getting crazy glitches, my controller keeps shutting down with the "not enough power" flashing pad, it stutters like crazy, nearly lost all my hotcues switching over, all effects have reset to default, lost all my scratch samples, it's saying that merge effects will go behind a paywal after 30 days (I have flx6).... My suggestion, wait till 7.1
probably not. i also don't think there will be significant upgrades to this system unfortunately. pioneer will likely focus more and more on cloud and cloud caching. i wouldn't be surprised if on the next CDJ, e.g. a CDJ-4000, they remove some link feature like link export. not saying it's likely though, but the industry is pointing towards cloud and streaming.

So just from my playing with RBX7 for about an hour I believe I saw improvements w the stem separation, however it wasn't because of any change in the stem, I believe it was because the CPU usage is lower. Sometimes prior when i used stems i believe an overload would distort the sound more than what we know the stems lacked. I didn't hear that messing w it for an hour, however still TBD
When they get around to updating the stems I really hope they allow users to handle basslines separately as with Serato and djay. For any DJs playing bass heavy music having the bassline tied to instrumentation kinda kills the feature dead, it’s very limiting. Bit worried that they’ve baked the three way split into the flx10 tbh.

I have uploaded Rekordbox 7 yet but I will. I am disappointed that they not updating and improving Stems. I hoped that would be on their priority list. They miss the mark on that.
Started 2 Month ago to use VDJ and i am still amazed in how many ways it is better than RB. The Midi-Implementation onto any Pioneer Hardware is so much better, using the perfect sounding stems on the equalizer or having my complete RB Playlists available...and on and on
yeah everyone with 2 brain cells knows that VDJ is a better performance DJ app, but rekordbox is actually pretty good for set preparation and naturally has more features when exporting to USB for CDJs. VDJ does have a CDJ export feature but it's significantly more limited which is understandable because VDJ isn't designed to have a rekordbox export mode.

Good to see hardware unlock staying within RB. May encourage more DJs to move to CDJs in club set ups instead of putting their controller ontop!

So much changed but it still stays the same, I think i will carry on using different software fot different jobs, Rekorbox is just one of three i use.
Most (if not all) so called features are to me just fixes….

Looks great more stable is really great licensing might be better again too I have been using 5.8.6 or 7. 😂. I really love the RMX effects 😮

My laptop is still on Windows 10 - I believe I can't upgrade to Rekordbox 7 unless my laptop is running Windows 11
