Got to be honest, I skipped AoE 3 back in the day, picked up the remaster on sale recently and really enjoying it. Feel like it gets a bit of an unfair assessment all too often. It's a different beast to AoE 2 but it's far from a bad game IMO.
You've improved a ton from last game I saw you play. You would have won but purple made and epic sneak attack on light blue
