Mark Twain said, “Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.” He was known for drinking whiskey/bourbon, not champagne.
The quote you used was by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Good video all the same.

    Fact number 16:
Champagne is a wine before it is mixed with yeast and sometimes sugar then laid to rest for 3 years minimum before it becomes champagne! Therefore a good base wine contributes to a good Champagne.
    Fact No17:
Pay attention to added Sugar or in Champagne language "Dosage"! Proud producers write it bold on the bottle.
The best Champagnes are often made by small artisanal family producers which use first press juices ( they often sell 2nd, 3rd, 4th press juices to big cooperates because Big cooperates need to fill their 10s of millions of bottles and so if the "CHAMPAGNE grapes are limited they have no choice but to use anything they get their hands on and to unify the taste mix loads of added sugar).
Small artisanal producers sacrifice quantity of their harvest to gain better quality of base juice, by leaving the grapes longer to sweeten by sun naturally . We often don't hear of these small artisanal but truly amazing champagne producers, because they do not have a budget like Moet Chandon to sponsor James Bond movies or pay Roger Federed over $30 Mio or Scarlet Johansen to advertise them. Neither these small champagne houses are bought by Super stars like JZ with high media coverage power.
    Fact No 18:
Small fine family producer Champagne means No Gorilla Marketing tactics. You pay often less to drink much higher quality of wine. Do not fall in the mass marketing trap or you will end up to pay more for less quality.
    Fact No 19:
High Quality Champagne like Good wine should be made from first pressed juice (Cuvee), fresh grapes from designated parcels of vineyard which bring to your taste buds the complex taste of that very soil in which it grew in ( terroir). "" Grapes are limited in Champagne region so producing wines of high quality naturally means reduces quantity. The lower number of bottles produced every year the higher the chance of you getting the real thing and not some sugar packed water deigned and pushed by marketing for those who are clue less.
Fact No 20: Smart v Stupid even in Luxury!!
Educate yourself because educated people with intelligence survive the blind information of websites like Alux.com
A good recent book to read on this topic is: BURSTING BUBBLES: A SECRET HISTORY OF CHAMPAGNE & THE RISE OF THE GREAT GROWERS BY ROBERT WALTERS

Thanks for the informative video on Champagne! You asked about glassware and we are glad you did! Both the coupe and the Flute are famous however not ideal vessels for enjoying Champagne! You should ask for a delicate white wine glass, so as to smell the incredible aromas better and still hang on to those bubbles.

    • @zachlevine7506
      @zachlevine7506 6 років тому

There are 4 main types of wine glasses. Each one benefits the wine in which it is meant to serve in its own specific way. The champagne glass, made with a long narrow glass to keep the aromas and the bubbles at the peak for drinking, white wine glass which is used with most white wines not all. The Burgundy glass (aka red wine) is meant to be served as a red wine glass for stronger red wines typically high in tannins, and then the Burgundy glass, which is made specifically for the wines of Burgundy; Pinot Noir and Chardonnay ( see not all white wines go in a white wine glass), those glasses have a wide bottom bowl to help enhance the delicate aromas and flavors.

Number 3 is wrong, jay-z approached Louis roderer to make a champagne for him, they didn't see jay- z as the type of person they wanted associated with the brand, so they declined his request. He therefore purchased shares in Armand de briniac and made ace of spades.

My connections bugging out, signs of the time, they need to be angry on this one, it helps me to realize my life could be less "high pressure" and opt for a good deal of good fortune, bypassing faith & good sense. Nonetheless, I can't I've never drank moet and if i do, those bubbles would mean the death of my sobriety, its habit forming as the evidense suggest, rather that the RED M would be the Super Villain to my heroic attempts to stay in the budgetary confines of my designated lot in life, Couldn't see myself paying $275,000 for a bottle of, muchless a nice wooden Box of Champagne. The pain is real, but my lord have given me the peace that passeth all understanding, orphanhood and all. 4.7 or 4 to 7 i'm not good with numbers but multiply that by millions and I still wouldn't indulge in excess drinking. Nice to know that many people find happiness in that, even those i admired as a role model, replaced by those I used to "care" in darker times. I am Legend because my life has non, no descriptive caption to explain the signs & symbols, things are never as they seem anyway, who do you say that i am, I just heard., already knew all that matters to is what Jesus says & thats no sham, he already dealt with the pain and the shame is gone too, cause i am, not what they say i am. I am his. sip....ahhhhhhhh btw goodbye Alux it been real

at the end the taste and feeling you get what matters for the money you pay. who ever used or drank it is not the case. there are many facts about spirits but what's the point of drinking any drink if it doesn't give you a taste or feeling to yourself for the money you pay. from hard liqour at least you can get drunk. but spending lots of money on sparkling wine or Champagne what do you get except prestige. think twice before you drop your money on this stuff.

Wow. So many mispronunciations and mistakes throughout this video. It really seems as though someone did less research on the actual subject than searching for stock footage. Kind of a shame. America needs more education about wine. Hate to see wasteful content that leads less enlightenment, and greater misconceptions. If you are interested in learning more about the bubbles, there are several sommelier run channels, there is the Unknown Winecaster, and of course Guildsomm. Far, far better resources. I suppose I can commend "Alux" for trying, though. *shrug*
