Nice comparison! I own more old modelers than you could count in a day (well... almost), but V-amp is the only platform where I own three different units (V-amp2, V-amp Pro and X-Vamp) that are based on the same digital core. Haven't used them in quite a while now, but once I get my new recording setup finished I'll probably try them out again, along with many other ol modelers I haven't touched for years. Good retro fun... or at least I hope so. 😄
The Pod doesn't sound better than the V-Amp on many of these samples. Where the Pod is superior, it's to such a small effect that it would not even be noticed by the listener...
I own the Vamp 2 since 2005 and at the time it was 99 USD vs $299 for the Pod. A no brainer for sure so I bought it. For 56 vs 250 euro again a no brainer after all of these years.
Line 6: press save, button wil, start to flash, up&down and switch on your location (A, B, C, D), then press Save a second time. V Amp2: Start by selecting a preset, then making any changes you wish: amp, EQ, effect, etc. The preset LED will begin to flash, indicating that the V-AMP 2 is ready to save your settings. To do this, hold the preset button down for about two seconds.
Hi! here's the signal flow: Ditto Looper (not in video) for guitar riffs -> EHX Switch blade (A/B swith to pod or v Amp) -> POD Line6 OR Behringer V AMP 2 -> NuX Router Ab3 (switch A/B used to split the two input in one output) -> Torpedo CabM -> Mixer Mackie 1604. The control room (stereo out) from Mackie 1604 goes to the behringer UCA22 connected to the iphone with a camera connection kit for recording audio and video.
" Ambos suenan refeos, según lo escuchado en este video. Yo cuento con el vamp2 y le he sacado buen sonido a las distorsiones combinando cajas con modern high gain y directo a la tarjeta de audio. Conectado al amplificador suena horrible (hice muchas pruebas), pero al compu con parlantes planos para escuchar o audifonos suena bastante bien. Pero el fx analogo para mi es lejos mejor. No lo volverí a a comprar.

I like the Behringer on most of this. Maybe it's the way it's recorded. Sounds warmer- my 2 cents .......
Pod sounds a little better, but for the money - V amp 2
Yes PoDv2 it’s better with less noise. It’s also cheap, you can find a podv2 for 50/70..

For the money the v-amp 2 is pretty dang decent. I found the rackmount version for like 90 bucks online and i may get it just for fun
I have on sale now the Original rack version Line6 hd for 90euro!
I prefer the pod
Ebay 2020: Pod 2 = 250€. V-Amp 2 = 56€. Which you chose?
Really?? Over200 on ebay it's insane! Pick the Vamp2!

If it keeps resetting then you have to replace the internal battery
Buy both and run the V-Amp 2 into the Pod...
great ... tell me signal flow to record used??

Behringer hum and buzz yuck
Yes, considering the price we can add one more noise gate.
