Fun Fact: People in East Berlin weren't able to climb over the Berlin Wall because they were constantly crushed by Whomps
14:47 that aged well in Tour
been waiting for this video, got so excited to see it in my recommended. absolutely love your normal retro track video and the other booster course pass videos. keep making great content!
14:48 YES IT IS! FINAL SPINY CUP FOR WAVE 6
I think Wii Rainbow Road has a very good chance of ending the Booster pass in Wave 6. It's clear that they are bringing back Wii Fan favourites and even implemented halfpipes and they need another rainbow road to finish the dlc,so this would fit right in. The other courses,yeah not very likely. That being said I absolutely love Wave 3 and don't think Wave 4 will be less spectacular,as I see us getting DK Summit and a Double Dash Tracks for the first time in the dlc.
I hope we get Toads Factory.
SHIT YOU GOT THE PREDICTIONS OF WAVE 4 RIGHT
I was looking forward to this🙌
Just discovered your channel today. Absolutely love your content! Hope you will continue this series!
4:03 3DS games are made to be played on a 3DS. It you watch captured footage on UA-cam all of it's beauty goes to hell. If you watch it on a 3DS screen it looks like eye candy, absolutely gorgeous.
So, this doen't even display how beautiful the nitro track is.
Benito Boos-olini would or would not be happy to see that the Berlin Wall is still up.
0:40 That's the fun part, you cant!
just saying, they nailed this wave
3DS Rainbow Road and Maple Treeway got the greatest glow ups
Not maple treeway

4:25 the ramp in the grass is still there as well so only another ramp was added. Just wanted to clear that up as it's easy to miss unless you're trying to make that corner cut
Wow
All the timestamps are already in the video so my job is actually done.
I want to see Bowser Castle 3 from Mario Kart Super Circuit in Wave 4.
I thought I was the only one who going to acknowledge the history behind the Berlin wall.
They should’ve put London loop in wave 2… to pay respects to the queen!
Why do you call the original versions of tracks "nitro" tracks?
The name comes from Mario Kart DS to classify the new cups.
Please show me how to like a video and subscribe to the channel. I do not know how.
Actually, in boo lake and Rock Rock mountain, the antigravity does help the gameplay A LOT
9:54 i was waiting someone thinking peach gardens 8 wa sbased on the tour version
That is ijcorrect the tour version is based in the 8 version
The 8 version was seen several months before the tour one
All the BCP are based on Tour Tracks
@@Polmo1997 incorrect peach gardens 8dx mas made agust-september the tour one was made october-november just the tour one came first
@@lighbuldchannel8131 What I'm saying is that every track was made for tour in mind. They have some tracks already made ready to be published for tour even after month. For example Sydney Sprint was one of the first city track made, but it was added many month after Tour was released
@@Polmo1997oooooh ok my bad
(Also wave 2)
They used Berlin 2 in lap 1 cos 2 came before 1
Waves 4 & 5 please?
the point you're making around 8:00 is exactly why I generally dislike the idea of having real places within the fantasy realms of Mario games. It just... doesn't fit nor make any sense. In my opinion, real life tracks should never have been included in Mario Kart.
Maybe I'm too extremist with my opinion, but I would even go further and say that non-Mario chars should also not be in the game. No Link, Villager, Splatoon Kid etc. They also feel really off within Mario Kart.
Thanks for the vid though, gives me good impressions of the new tracks. I have yet to purchase the DLC but I'm hesitant since they do not even reach the quality of the original 32 + 16 tracks. It's that graphical inconsistency that throws me off the most.
Totally agree with the non-Mario characters feeling out of place, it's Mario Kart, not Smash Bros!
@@BoardGamesBricksHobbies exactly!
I think you were a bit too harsh on 3DS Rock Rock Mountain/3DS Alpine Pass. In my opinion it is a very fun course despite the visuals being a bit subpar compared to the other courses.
Here's my personal ranking at the moment:
08 - GBA Boo Lake: An amazing remake of the GBA course but unfortunately I don't find it as engaging as the others and I miss the Boos holding candles. Still, it is an amazing course which deserves a ton of praise;
07 - Tour London Loop: I absolutely adore this course for the Chain Chomps, atmosphere and maze-like structure but unfortunately it has a lot of empty areas which really hinder its quality. I found this course bad in Tour but they made it great here so that's an accomplishment on its own anyways;
06 - Tour/BCP Merry Mountain: An amazing course all-around (especially for its theming) but I feel like it could be better on the layout department. It's great but just not the best unfortunately;
05 - 3DS Rock Rock Mountain/3DS Alpine Pass: An amazing underrated masterpiece of a course. It is such a blast to just glide over a beautiful scenery and I'm glad this course made it in for that reason;
04 - Wii Maple Treeway: I love the comforting autumn setting of this course along with its really creative design, it's just a blast to play every time;
03 - DS Peach Gardens: If they kept the main maze-like design unchanged from the original version (with 5 rows of bushes rather than 3), the item boxes behind the chain chomps and the tricky flowers to avoid this would easily be number 1 on the list as it is on its original form my second favourite racing course ever. Fortunately the path change on the last lap kind of makes it a lot more redeemable and the course is still so gorgeous that it's hard to make it bad. It's worse than the original layout-wise but still amazing;
02 - 3DS Rainbow Road: Simply a masterpiece. You go through space on a beautiful Rainbow Road in an unforgettable journey, it's highly regarded for a reason;
01 - Tour Berlin Byways: I didn't enjoy this course in Mario Kart Tour that much but somehow combining the three variants made it a masterpiece. This course simply has everything: you go through a train station, several parks, the Berlin wall, arches, etc. (it's the whole package) while having a part of the road dedicated to just avoiding cars and tree roundabouts reminiscent of N64 Toad's Turnpike or DS Shroom Ridge. Unlike those two courses though, this one tries to do more than just being another car course and only uses the cars to enhance the course itself. For me this is already an underrated classic.
What would the rock cup be without Rock Rock Mountain? Nothing???
@@SteelTechGaming It would still be the rock cup but that specific course gave it an extra reason to name it that way
Complaints about Tour porting are seriously beginning to wear thin. It is true that stylistically there are low points, like the Rock Rock Mountain rocks and several tracks from the first wave, but the style is generally pleasing to the eye. Even Mapple Treeway uses simple textures for the background and yet it turns out nice to look at.
However even on the fact that the tracks are taken from MKTour is not a flaw, as the work behind to adapt them to MK8DX's engine is done, just see how the Peach Garden from tour has the shortcuts nerfed and the recent Snow Land released today on Tour has the icy part completely different.
Then let's not hide the fact that even the basic tracks in MK8 have Antigravity elements thrown in there, Twhomp Ruins, DK Jungle, Sherbet Land, Pirhanha Plant slide all have Antigravity portions that are slightly inclined tracks.
You also made several mistakes in this video, for example in Rock Rock Mountain the jump track in the shortcut was not taken out.
Sincerely, disappointed with this video
Nice job typing an eye sore of a paragraph and then a sentence. Top tier Leaving Cert English right there.
when will the hate for tour end? it’s really annoying that you mention it every single second
It’s valid though. Tour tracks have horrible aesthetics 90% of the time and when Nintendo just port tracks over, they look rubbish in MK8D. You can’t tell me Rock Rock Mountain actually looks good. Same goes for some of the other Tour tracks that have been ported over
@@matthewwilliams4569 we’ll be honest they’re not going to recreate this tracks from the ground up when tour’s models are good…
@@justthenamekevin But like, they easily could, Nintendo are being lazy. Some of these tracks look awesome and some are very mediocre. It’s like they’re not being tested. It’s strange for Nintendo to take so little care and be so lazy with a series that fans adore, hence all the criticism
@@matthewwilliams4569 it’s obvious that whoever was working on the 8 tracks has moved on to the next game…
i highly agree tho that the textures need a lot of work and that the tracks shouldn’t been 100% like in tour (peach gardens was nerfed) and who choose mario circuit 3 instead of shy guy bazaar for the turnip cup?!
@@matthewwilliams4569 I love how you call a video game company lazy when it’s clearly obvious that you have never worked in a tight company pipeline. Because if you did, then you wouldn’t be a deadbeat, you’d be educated on it.
