The fluency myth is funny, as a native British English speaker I know there are so many different ways to speak and most are correct. This would be the same for any language. It's impossible to know the entire dictionary of a language and all the possible combinations so the fluency fear should never hold you back. I'm currently learning German and Swedish. One for fun and one for love 😂 it's been a fun and wild ride!

Merci mille fois Lindsay, you and also @storylearning plus @elyssespeaks @LindieBote have been my main powerful inspirations to relink with languages as each language does have its specialities (and limits hence why to know more than one is cool). I love English or American for its funkyness and breaking the ice conversation when possible but it is very limited to express deep feelings and emotions plus is not always a diplomatic card according where you are in the world.
Yes, dabbling in languages is a smart way to have fun and still record some phrases or colloquial/idiomatic expressions that can open many cultural/commercial/educational doors that English alone cannot open.
Thank you for having hugely inspired me to re-learn the power and usefulness of languages 🙏💛
Merci de tout coeur Lindsay! Dabbing can then lead to one or two languages, or more, that really might hone your time and energy to learn them because you discovered their inner beauty or/and identity within some cultural or specialities that some country(ies) do.
As for a language you might try in Dabbler's Den:
