long boards are easier than skateboards in my opinion. They have easier balance. i would say less than a year to master but more that a month

@@OfficialMummyCat I wouldn’t recommend anyone skate an open road this fast after a year, but you can make a lot of good progress
took me like one month because i rode down scary places which made me master it more
