Did we hear Jay Light's commentary once? It seemed like every time they went to the judges, if they did go to him his was cut when editing.
Jay was sitting with the firing squad but not judging just enjoying. He does judge sometimes but usually best to have an odd number of judges imo

Eh yo PAT! If you keep putting up these TERRIBLE comedians, at ANY point in time in your show, even as openers, you WILL lose fans. Make this shit fire! I suggest getting battle rappers who do this professionally, but.... I mean shit, you do you, but this could be great, and it isn't. Moses is always, on almost every show, the funniest one. Good choice for host/Bad choice for comedians.
Appreciate the feedback and will give a genuine response - one thing I will always love about Roast Battle is how it gives an opportunity to EVERYONE. When I first moved to LA I had a really hard time finding good stage time and RB gave me a chance that I’ve parlayed into a writing career. I try to limit the “virgin suicides” to one per show but I’ll never stop giving that opportunity altogether.
@@patbarker268 Firstly, holy shit, you responded, and it wasn't just "thanks" lol. I feel important for this series of seconds. I totally get what you're saying, and I also firmly agree with what you're saying. However, and this is just my opinion, I don't run shit so ya. But if I were you.... I'd give the new people the opportunity at the club. They get stage time, they get practice with a crowd, they can hone the talent. But use that as a stage to get INTO the show. Like.... tryouts. And then reward those who do well with a spot on the youtube show. Either way they get the experience, but this way you can screen who's showing on your youtube vid, and make your youtube vid BETTER, which will draw a bigger crowd, provide more money, and give you the opportunity to do even more for others. The bigger you get, the better you can help others. Why help them to a small stage, when you could help them to a GIANT stage? It's just you can't do that NOW. But this is how you grow. Or at least that's how I see it, and wtf do I know, I'm just a random net guy. But ya. Thanks for the genuine response Pat. Also, besides Moses, you're consistently funny too, and this is not me kissing your ass, just true. =) Sorry this is so long lol.
@@mikefufuffalo8487 booking is a little more complicated than that, unfortunately. Won’t get into all the ins and outs of it, just trust me. The only realistic option is to let them battle on the show and cut it out of the UA-cam release, which is a valid thought. However, we’ve decided to leave it all in, good bad or otherwise, and hopefully the judges can carry you through the bad battles. Also hopefully the fear of bombing on UA-cam will motivate these new people to write better jokes (although obviously that’s not always the case).
