Bro this is the ONLY game I’ve ever found, that you can twink like this game. It is not only a lost art, it is the only art like itself. I believe if you can play AO and are good at thinking, you can be good at any other game no problem.

What killed AO for me was just not being able to afford anything. Running hundreds of missions for gear to sell to twinkers just to afford one single item. Begging for hours just to get the buffs to equip decent gear. Not knowing what gear you might need to get yourself set up. Getting screamed at by orgmates because you gridded into the org city during an alien raid they didn't bother mentioning. Asking questions and getting the same old "look it up yourself" answer while they paraded 220 toons around. Asking for help and being told I was too low level and they couldn't be bothered. It just became too much. I didn't have time to build 14 paid toons just so I could effectively solo everything. It wasn't just the lack of a sense of community. It was plowing through the entitlement of the ones who had gotten that help long before and now had no time to bother with a lowbie. Didn't matter that I had 20 bags of CRU stored. I wasn't allowed to run an alien raid because there weren't enough members with toons in my level range. They sure did want that CRU though.
My 200 advy with dual Xan pistols (Peh/Troa) not OE self buffed was my last accomplishment before leaving. Dune is giving some vibes but I wish they invested on remaking this game with updated combat using UE5
I predominantly solo'd AO. So as you might guess: My main characters were an MP, an Engineer, and the inevitable Fixer. I made some mistakes...like not leveling the research before hitting 200 (the world gets painful after 200 for someone who mostly solo's. I wish you had seem some of the antics I came up with for soloing... With the fixer, it was just self-casted grid armor (I prided myself on being able to self buff and cast it)...she's in GA4 now. In Shadowlands Grid armor is second only to naked in uselessness, although I hear they did something to make it semi usable..but nothing like it is on RK.) The fixer lived on RK, rolling missions for hot items to sell to froobs. but eventually I hit 200, and that was the end of the easy exp train. My engineer: he did static dungeons in SL, wall hiding and hoping for no backspawn. It was a slow, painful process. MP has it a little better if you can adequately manage your balls/demons. I'm unaware of the stacking thing mostly because I never really kept up with what everyone else was doing, but then I wasn't (obviously) a big pvp'er.
Nice to see you posting new content again, you don't need to wait with org changes either, you just need to be kicked while offline to avoid the time-delay and the people what where abusing org switching figured that out in a heartbeat after the timer was added. I've discussed this topic and others on live streams ( now vods on my YT channel ) There was another rebalance in 2015 with the 18.7 Arete etc; since then we had three new dungeons and a new research line and a nostalgia server but that's about it. I've tried all the next "New game" games; and they are all profit driven garbage more like a slot machines than a game. That's why I'm still here and that's why I still play. AO may be old but in MMO's there really isn't anything better for my tastes.
Oh shoot, I had no idea about the offline kick thing! I'm surprised that's possible, but I'm also not surprised that FC couldn't properly fix a problem haha. But for sure, I feel the same way about modern games. AO is old and has more issues than we can count, but for our preference and taste, there truly isn't anything better.

You can multi-box there but there's still a lot of guilds and groups that get together and also if you want to solo you can hire a healer, tank, caster or melee DPS mercenary that will help you out and the mercenaries are no gimps! When I used to play AO a few years ago I wanted that game to adopt the mercenary mechanic. I'm honestly surprised that AO is still online these days, haha!
I am Zoop! This is a good story and proves a point. I love this game and all the peoples in it, i ignore cheating and focus on the game i pay to play. The state of the game with cheats not getting fixed, we just need to adapt. It's ignore the cheating or not kinda deal. Gotta put it down to logicalty.. Simples Also. part of the problem is guys like you zoop, guys who pretend not to cheat but are the kind of people to do things like hold the server hostage for 2 days by crashing all the zones you could . Which you literally did. you also posted a ton in the aosharp server and definitely dupe and stack and do other things. Dont be a liar. Its just like playboyfixer pretending that twinked love machines isnt completely full of stacked toons. Just be honest and play the game
I knew about multi boxing from my days popping in as a froob a couple years ago, but not stacking! That kinda nullifies all the fun of the game, the complicated game of dress up and implanting to dress up or implant even *better*

I check out the game every year or so but there is no one to really group with.. it is really disheartening to see. As someone who left so long ago i don't know what the term stacking means exactly but if could infer what it is.. is it an external program that allows you to hack your stats?
Hey man, thanks so much for the kind words. Stacking involves using a third party program that will equip and unequip an item in such a way where you keep gaining stats from that item and don't lose them until you zone. For example, if you stacked using a helmet that added 30 pistol, the program would keep equipping and unequipping the helmet until you forced it to stop, giving you +30 pistol for each cycle.
I played this in high school 2004-08; I quit around 2012 and played DayZ I kited and boosted XP to like 170. I twinked up to like 90. I have pretty cool twinking items lol. Unsure what it looks like now. I got muted for preaching in 2022?
I stopped playing AO about 18 months ago after MBing collector over 200 times looking for a WU for my 200 adv (without any luck) Despite all the issues AO has, your video has made me want to try again! Is there a quicker/more reliable way to get WU on 200 chars now?!
Lol when your build requires a gunship you know it's pushing the limits. That's wild. There was someone in A Froob Above The Rest who spent months grinding missions day in day out for one. There was a time when they were almost mythical items, you heard from a friend of a friend of a random guy they met in totw that they existed lol. I tell the story of how a skull of the ancient dropped off aztur in like 2007 and we all agreed to let eachother look at it, so we all got a turn to open the corpse and see it.... Then when we were discussing what to do with it the agent ninja'd it and logged off lmao. Pretty sure it was a bug that it even dropped or a GM spawning it in because I hadn't seen one drop since until they did the most recent "rebalance" and officially put it in the loot table.
@3:05 I strongly disagree. With right order its possible. First you will have to use strenght Spirit to get CC on-> after that swap sense righs, shoulders, 300 bloodlust, etc. You can get 1200 sense with CC on :). Only thing what isnt doable on 200 shade is tnh belt. You will be 30 points short on cl. I'v always loved pusing twinks to absolute max, and quit playing toon after its done..

No it's an exploit. You can basically equip an item, get its stats, then deequip it without losing said stats again (which is obviously unintended). This can be done multiple times to crazy effects. Exploiters use it to equip high requirement gear, or stack stuff like crit or +nano damage (imagine NT with 200k nukes^^)
Easy fix really, release a 2024/2025 new server and give some of the bigger name streamer content creators like caloss and a few others admin status with the ability to IP ban and delete accounts. That would be amazing and I'd roll a new toon in a heart beat. Short of that I'll more than likely just stick with the usual technique of activating and account for a month every couple of years run around OA maybe do a inf mission then forget about it again for another few. Sad state but there is a way out.

i stop playing after multibox and stack; thoses shits uins totally game, i was a tower war player, and was totally weird to play vs those monkeys using those cheats. twink in AO was the best part, they totally ruin game plaisur with stacks and other ... I ll only come back if game come "really" free and if they remove those cheats .
My bud and I come back to the game every so often, we play for a few months hardcore sometimes upto a year but for the most part we fart around making new toons and playin around in the low end dungeons trying to beat boss's or camps without being twinked to the nines. More or less to fart around in the old stomping grounds for fun. Sometimes we will twink hardcore but have found its far more fun to try to do things without being twinked at all. I'll run a main and have some other toon on follow and as of this year i managed to talk him into making a toon to put on follow so this year we did more untwinked than usual. But the days of getting sweaty over the game are gone we just play the game for what it is now instead of what it was. Anyway my only suggestion i can gave is to do just that. Play the game for what it is now and not for what the glory days used to be. The uber twinking was done long ago not like you can be the "first" at doing said task with your uber twinked toon anymore. Everything was done years ago. I dunno i guess my gripe is everyone is running around twinked as much as possible to try and show off to other people that more than likely have done that same twink setup a few times for the same prof. There is no interest in playing untwinked and grouping or semi untwinked and grouping. Nor is there interest in running around the world killing in old camps that are not the fastest. Can't beat old 8x8, or virusbuilders.. maybe old mutant camp. I'll never forget when we came back to the game for one session years ago to find one of the old school xp stomping grounds still had the same mobs in it but magically there where slayerdroids that wander the area making it a deathtrap to try to camp there... We looked in forums patchnotes anywhere we could to find out why those static slayer spawns got added to one of our fav chill leveling spots and to this day couldnt find anything on it. My guess it was one more thing to try to push ppl into one xpac or some such. Anyway May the loot gods shine on you, and RNG ever be in your favor bro. Sadly the sun has more or less set on this game like a few other oldschool greats. Just gotta run around in its shadow when you have the time and take it for what it is now.

If you want to stack and whatnot, I get it, but I won't spread any info that actively harms the core of AO. In my opinion, the biggest(potentially) allure of AO is the skill system, bypassing that just seems dismissive to the actual game.
