Buck is a monster right now, the facts he’s your highest rated attacker this series alone proves it. If you’re a madman fragger, extended barrel on him is ridiculous

@Bepe they did. He means on the gun itself not the shotgun. It makes the C8 kill faster than pre patch ak which if you didn't know was the best gun in the game before they nerfed the damage

If you use the combo Laser and Extended Barrel, the Shotgun range is ridiculous
Buck is insanely underrated. There's literally never a bad time to pick him. I'd say he's the most consistent op in the game.
Yeah 100% he is so versatile it is insane
Except maybe on kafe on the 3rd floor since the floor is so far away and there isn't a soft roof

i think really both are situation. ive mained both in the past and generally for vertical play sledges hammer makes more consistent easier to shoot through holes whereas buck makes smaller ones that are more jagged and irregular so they are harder to shoot through so they are safer but harder to use
I never thought about that. Buck does make smaller holes. But doing them at a safe range is the good part
@@BMP extra choice to angle your holes too since you don't have to go through both layers of floor so you can have holes that can only be shot through at a certain angle. generally buck is safer but harder to use imo

The biggest advantage Buck has against Sledge is still having a weapon when using his gadget while Sledge has to put his weapon away to use his hammer

Start playing Buck recently cause I solo queue. he’s a BEAST. His gun claps 1.5x and the extend barrel change make it one of the best in the game, hard breach chargers, soft wall destruction, flashes for burning utility. And I got black ice for both of his guns.

good comparison but heres my opinion i think sledges loadout should be an 8/10 instead of 7 and bucks secondary gadget is a 9 instead of 10 but other than that i 100 percent agree. as alway great comparison!

I’ve been playing siege for a few years and my friend has always called buck a “rookie operator” because when I started playing he was all I played but now I realized he is so solid and pretty good on almost every map
Yeah he is good for all skill levels and ranks
I prefer Sledge ‘cause I get the biggest dopamine rush from breaching above and throwing a frag grenade right in that perfect angle to kill an unsuspecting defender.
I know Buck is very good and I should use him more often, but damn. Frags are so much fun to me.

I would be down to compare shield operators. But I think my next comparison is going to be Plant denial operators. Aka Smoke, Tachanka, and Goyo.

i think the same, but depends on the map playing on kafe (kitchen) i rarher go sledge because i can break faster the floor and there some angles and hide spots so nates are mire useful

extended barrel does nothing for bucks shotgun, in shooting range at the 5m setting both hit one pellet for 28(no dmg increase) and at 10m both hit one pellet for 18(no range increase) and 20m both hit for 11
I personally don't think the CAMRS is useless. It's like a weaker 417 imo

It's a great video and I agree with you mostly. However I think Sledge deserves 1 more points on loadout and Buck deserves 1 less. C8 is great but because it doesn't have grip it sacrifies some improvements. And for the loadout Buck should lose another point for losing nades. I love hard breach on him but I'd pick nades on most situations. Since Gonne-6 has only one ammo and sacrifies pistol I think nade is really matters. Imo both are great and they both deserve 37/40. Buck is better for vertical plays because he is faster, safer and can destroy floors not just ceilings. Even without nades he's better but Sledge is better overall because of his potential of destroying different kind of gadgets.

Your next comparison should be twitch vs zero vs Flores vs Brava once she’s added since their all drone operators (yes I know zero doesn’t technically have a drone in the same way the others do)
Buck is better for the simple fact he can actually play vertically two dimensional bellow and above clearing a roamed above not so hard but below usually don’t have your Roamers there forcing them to push into the attacking team
It's tough one I'd say buck is more versatile but if ur playing above u want sledge but buck defo more verstile
I don’t think 1 op is better than the other, both are situational. Buck is good against tellers on border because he has hard breach for hatch meaning team doesn’t need hard breach op. But sledge is better on workshop border because grenades are good to clear power positions on that site.
I would add nomad and gridlock to this role , While they certainly are not the best at it they have soft breaches to get some holes and there gadgets allow them to try this solo with a little bit of cover .

They need to make sledge a 2 speed
If you can use the camrs properly it's broken, it's a 2 hit kill and shoots really fast and if you're using a muzzle break it's got no recoil, I never really use the c8 because if you can aim and land your shoots with the dmr it's way better, also everytime I use the c8 i can't not think about the old recoil

Personally for vertical play, I like sledge more , since he has more uses and easier use for breaking floors than buck with his hammer, and he has nades. For more fragging potential with a soft wall breacher, I will go buck, since he has the range with the shotgun and fragging with flashbangs. he is also real good for hatches with the hard breaches.

While buck has good secondary's when comparing him to sledges, he defo should not have a 10/10, more like an 8

No way you think Buck is better than Sledge. Sledge literally has frags.
Yeah sledge has frags but Buck has gonne-6 which allows him to destroy one piece of hard utility and flash's to burn ADSs. Also, his gadget functions as a really good weapon and a vertical play gadget. Also he is a 2 speed that can play vertically from range so he is harder to nitro cell

Sledges gadget is an 8/10 due to range and vulnerability but i think bucks also an 8 bcuz it has less uses* and no hard utility breaking

Smh shotguns viable on attack. Apex Mirage main here and while its possible to pick Operators or Legends that are versatile or good team synergy’s, ultimately its up to the skills of the person playing. I’m not saying everything deserves sledge shotgun but there’s definitely site’s i like to rush in and get close with shotty that are efficient (at least in my ranks) TL;DR it’s up to the might and mind of the player more than anything

Only thing that puts sledge over buck is the fact that buck got his frags removed I think buck is better
I disagree that buck is better. You left out 2 KEY points. 1. Sledge CAN open holes from below.. he has frag grenades. Buck doesnt. 2. Bucks gadget doest always open a hole the entire way through the floor with 1 single shot. Sometimes multiple shots are required to get the whole way through the floor. When Sledge its the floor the hole is opened the entire way to the lower level with just ONE swing of his hammer.
With those two things being added into the mix, the two operators become much more equal.
I think sledge is better because the cost for buck is 10k and sledge is 1 k this means sledge is more affordable for new players and he is one of the 4 ops that has frags

I prefer sledge but also play buck
sledges gun feels easier to control on console but bucks one feels way more harder imo
I think sledge is better. Just overall faster and no reload. Not to mention if your caught by a roamer you don’t have to worry about switching weapons cause it automatically goes away. Buck you have to switch modes and is just annoying to recover with.
Buck is much faster than sledge, he can shoot 5 times much quicker than sledge swinging his hammer 5 times. Also the roamer part is pretty much invalid because if the roamer catches you still making holes you are dead either way.

I don't think buck deserves a 10/10 in secondary gadgets. 10/10 means perfection, while buck could surely benefit from having frag grenades like he used to.
