I’m not usually drawn to books about motherhood but I really enjoyed Territory of Light by Yuko Tsushima. It’s very short, calm, just a warm little slice of life I really love it
Motherhood by sheila heti is also perfect; it's nonfiction and about her journey/discussion about whether she wants children. She talks about the societal/social/emotional/personal ramifications of either having or not having children, and how either decision can affect so many different relationships in your life. but it was SO good
You inspire me to read more! Your videos are so aesthetically pleasing. Thank you for creating such interesting content and please never stop making reading vlogs🫶🌸⭐️
Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine! I wouldn't say this book is exactly motherhood friendly. But the plot tiwst at the end was so good. It left me speechless and gob-smacked. I would definatly recommend them
for motherhood books I can highly recommend The History of Bees by Maja Lunde, its about climate change (hits a lil close to home) but also motherhood / parenthood and the lengths mothers will go for their children, I read in in about a day its that good! also soundings and wild fell, both very nature oriented but also mothers and their children 🥰
oh you dont know how much i needed a reading vlog rn its my first day of holidays and i need to finish my book before school starts again (im reading the secret history rn and its kinda hard to get through but still really good)! hope you have a wonderful day
i completely understand that, i read it too and it’s definitely a slow burn! i’m reading donna tart’s other book The Goldfinch and i started it last august and still haven’t finished it hahaha 😅
@@CocoDay yess donna tartt definitely has a special way of writing because she uses a lot of details to describe stuff for worldbuilding which sometimes can be difficult to read because its just harder to get through
the last time i read outside in a park it was the first sunny AND warm day of the year. a man came and molested me. this was the last time i went outside
