Feroze Ghandy was a Parsi. He joined the Indian Independence Movement was later inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. Then he decided to change his surname from Ghandy to Gandhi. Ratan Tata is also a Parsi. Irani is also a similar community just like Parsi. They both belong to Zoroastrian religion. Only difference is that Parsis came to India during 7th century when Islamic invaders captured Iran whereas Iranis came during British rule in India. Population of Zoroastrian in India is very less and most of them belongs to Parsi Community. Parsis are considered highly educated. Union Minister Smriti Irani is married to Zubin Irani. Her husband belongs to Irani community. Will you call her Smriti Khan too?
