Great video as usual, but i got a question! Are all these edits on the mac mini, while u r opening only Final Cut ? or you were opening like chrome tabs and other random things like regular daily background Apps?
Fair question; I have photoshop open, mail, chat and typically a few safari windows for epidemic sound (sound effects) while I’m not typically a “30 chrome windows open” type of guy.. INTERESTINGLY, take a peek at your Activity Monitor while editing; somehow Final Cut Pro only reserves like 3GB of RAM at any given time. So really that would depend on specifically what’s in your chrome windows; some websites will suck you dry even with 32gb of ram..
Amazing Explanation, this is what I was looking for, can you try this on Premier pro and After Effects ? Subscribed ! Suggestion for your Video: I see you are using too many J cuts in your edit and some of them are longer J cuts , this is my opinion I may be wrong but try to see if that can be reduced.
I would have to go learn Premier, although for simple cuts and titles I can’t imagine that’s too steep of a learning curve. I admit, I do go a little too heavy on the J-cuts. I should be letting the end of a point or the end of a paragraph settle in the air for a hot second.
Hi, me again. It seems like you have some engineering in your history. Am I making that up? If I used fusion 360 regularly (since solidworks isn’t natively supported on macOS) what would you suggest? Also, merry Christmas Eve :)
@@danielgilligan2328 that is correct! I am a mechanical engineer (who works in the art world, using about 3% engineering). I’d say that depends, similar to video editing. If you’re designing 3d printed step down gear systems this computer would be OVERpowered for it; if you’re designing the entire opening credits to game of thrones you might be in trouble with the 16gb of ram…
That was great! Thanks for getting a couple of early morning chuckles out of me! Actually learned that I have been way overspending for my Macs! But hey, as another old white guy, my 16" M4 Pro MBP is way cheaper than a Vette!
Video quality is immaculate
Sir, the amount of effort you put in all ur videos to make them so slick, professional, and crisp. i respect ur skill. hope some day i can be like u.
Dude this was amazing!! Love your style and how much work you put into this!!
finally after tons of useless videos from other ytubers I finally found one guy who does real life Fcpx video editing and stress test!
Man! Talking video editing AND opening with a real life no-CG-2023-Top-Gun woe old of reality. Bravo!!!

Really enjoy your channel. Love the humor!
I Love This Guy How Clear He Is 🔥🔥🔥
Oh wow I’m sold! Literally all I need. Just scared about some animations in blender.
Great video. Can’t believe the sub count I’m ‘in’ love your style.
What about youtubers that use raw uncompressed 8k footage
useless cuz its still be ok even on Mac 1-2 , cuz all these Mac have a decoder
If they have 8K camera , they can buy m4 max
Now you’re talking! I should download some 8k footage and see how that plays out

Literally the video everyone has been waiting for!
I honestly can not believe it’s true. But I’ve edited my last three videos on this computer.. No compromise!

bro cooked the mini for a 6 second shot 💀
absolute cinema 🙌
I think I might just intro everything this way from now on! Memory cards would be tricky
I hope you ain’t actually burn that Mac mini lol
@@omaralcantara1142 haha, welllll it had a little piece of cardboard on it that I saturated with parts cleaner. Burnt clean off without a mark!
@ well played lol 😂, I would’ve accidentally sent the house on fire
Well… sh!+. Ok.
