I didn't until you said it...🥺....now I can't unhear it....it's similar to Sketches of Brunswick by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard....once you hear the badly produced hi end symbol work covering everything on the album you can't unhear it....
They were a good band with a cult following, but it took glam rock to make stars of them.but with out the glam part they and Ian hunter would probably have just faded away.🤓👍
A sound from my teen ages - ohh I remember - what a time it was ...
One of their absolute best...and that is saying something, with their catalog!
My favorite LP by them, I feel it’s their deepest album I love it…
Agree. For me, clearly their best. Im mystified that there isnt more agreement on that point.
A wonderful album with no covers and great sound.
I really love this song who's remember me the good old days
still got the vinyl I bought many years, still a great album!!! Thanks for letting me know there are still others who like this.
Likewise.
A Little Bit of Trivia: MAD SHADOWS is a 1959 novel by Marie-Claire Blais; MOTT THE HOOPLE is a 1966 book by Willard Manus.

Still have this on Vinyl and on Ceedee, is a great song
Know this; "There is a peace that passes all understanding". Peace with God through Jesus Christ.

When I first saw it, I thought with this album cover is has to good. But I was wrong, it was absolutely brilliant.
thanks for this :) by re-up
Anyone else noticed Buff's squeaky bass drum pedal? It's clearly audible in the quieter parts of the song.
+Bobby G I thought it was an audio problem for all these years!
It's ALL I can hear when I listen to this song. Can't believe they let that slide.

its an actual bike wheel on an electric drive, Stealers Wheel used it on "stuck in the middle"
Without Overend they would have been nothing.
Pete was one of my first inspirations for picking up a bass guitar 50 years ago.
Verden Allen's keyboards are also on display here along with Ian Hunter's powerful vocal
Mott's most Spooky Tooth-like song, perhaps. Can't really hear the squeaking bass-drum-pedal.
