Sometimes, less is more. When pandemic hit my country I tripled my collection of plant species, but this year I just realised that it's tiresome to have so many, and some of them don't really thrive here. Halved the amount of species and made sure most are small plants that won't occupy my entire living space. Now my windowsill looks a lot more tidy. Granted, I also got into propagating and my side table looks like a laboratory.

The Nigerian Sun ☀️ and the Florida Sun 🌞 are cousins, i.e. HOT AS HELL. Please keep ALL your succulents. They thrive on sun 🙌🏽.
Off topic: I need you to do PlantMas (Christmas), 25 days of you and plants for December 🤭. Have a great weekend babe 😊

Lmao 😜 it seems like you are still very undecided on what you want! I think that if and when you do decide to sell your plants, with the exception of your Hoya and your huge cactus, which I really love your huge cactus btw, you should definitely be prepared to have a container and put them in the container as you go through them, that would enable you to stay committed to your decision and feel confident with your choices as well as your mental health at the same time! It’s very hard to convince yourself to allow your plants that you have cared for and nourished to thrive , that they will be happy in someone else’s care! If you do let plants go, make sure you understand that it’s best for the plants at this time of your life and just let them go my friend! Lots of love ❤️ Ginger

Hi Ginger, I love this messages you sent, I wish this struggle with the weather we face every year we can convince ourselves not to buy plants that we fall in love with & work very hard to keep them alive. I have a Medusa plant for over 10 years & this year it’s first time I in this kind of weather situation. I am hoping no pests & hope it survive my greenhouse 😢 I understand what you say & what he is going through ❤❤❤ let’s keep giving him lots of love & support him on what ever he decides ❤❤❤

I lost a huge collection due to neglect (girlies, I was going through some stuff). Ive decided to buy plants no more than three at a time and THEN wait a few month so they can acclimate and I can figure out what space they want to live. That way, I'm not scrabbling around, repotting and repositioning and killing plants that my home can't accommodate. I'm going slow and grow moving forward. 💁🏾‍♀️🙌🏾❤️❤️

Ahhhh the struggle is real. 😫 I am awful at getting rid of any. I love them all! Duplicates are easy though and it sounds like that may give you some more space.

I understand. I gave away about 30 plants this summer, many of which had just grown too big to bring inside for another winter. I'll probably have to give away some more next summer, just to reduce the work involved in keeping them all happy and healthy. But the ones I've had for decades (some have been with me for 40 years) are keepers. Nevertheless, there's a time to focus on quality rather than quantity, which is rough for those of us with green thumbs.

.omg Babez, I am so sad. I just started watching the video so who knows because you sometimes throw out a surprise or two. But I am sorry you have some hard choices to make. We need to go into 2025 feeling confident, as much as possible.
I thought of your words the other day when I had to throw out a plant. I hated that I ended up throwing this plant out but it just was not doing well and its time had come. It is like you said in one of your previous videos...sometimes it is simply not worth the stress. This hobby should be enjoyable and we all have different levels for what that means.
Anyways I am behind on like the last month of videos and will do a binge hopefully this weekend to get caught up. I cannot wait to watch the one about the reddit ban because I remember you talked about it briefly in another video and I was intrigued lol😂😂
Hope you are well and had a good birthday, love from Indianapolis Indiana girlie

Oh that evil wicked Nigerian sun 🤣
I so get purging things that don’t work in your climate or growing space!
This European Gurly got rid of the larger Alocasias, they just need more warmth/humidity than I can provide. I rehabbed them in a grow tent and when they looked their best selves I gave them away, so satisfying and such a weight off of my shoulders! 🪴🪴🪴

Sir, I was shook-eth when you said you are selling=throwing out the plant in the yellow pot. Why 🫢? She's lovely 😍!

You know selling isnt a bad thing because long term at somepoint you are going to buy a house and live out your garden dreams. In the meantime you can start putting away your profits for your long term goals. There is nothing wrong in using your passion to better your situation, as renters we do have some limitations. You might dedicate a area for things you just grow in one season to sell for profit in the next season. It's a practical positive in your plant career. 🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴
