Awesome video! A reminder for folks that if they don't want to hit a button on their keyboard to go to the next scene, they can use the Launch Box to automate the next sene to launch after X bars. Thx Lijo!
Nice, that's what I've been doing too. You can and should also map not only the chain selector to the macro but also the on/off state of the instrument device to the same macro so that only one instrument can be activated at a time which will save Ableton CPU. If you're only using a few instruments, it should be no problem but this is a consideration for folks who might want to use a lot more instruments in their live set.
This is so helpful for me as a beginner with Ableton. What if in this scenario you had a bridge section where you wanted both the piano and pad instruments to play together instead of independent. Is it possible to add another chain selector mapping to 3 and have both play layered?
Hey Gregory! Perhaps the easiest way to do that would be to create a third chain/instrument, where the instrument is actually an instrument rack with the pad and piano stacked on each other. Then you can have ur chain selector at 1, 2, or 3, depending on how/what you want to play.
I'm assuming the Scene down and maybe the chain selector are mapped to the same button on the MIDI keyboard. I'm not understanding how to associate the scene and/or sound selector with the Envelope breakpoint?
Yes! You just need to make sure that the "Auto-Select" button in the chain list within the instrument rack is turned on. That way, when you switch between your different instruments, the corresponding macros will launch and become accessible on your standard midi controllers. This is especially helpful for folks who use something like an Ableton Push because even the macros that are available can be automated! :)
Can I ask a question? Nice video. Is there a way to change the midi sound for only 4 measures of a midi track. My Christmas song has bells in the intro for 4 bars. Then it’s piano for the rest. Is there a way to do this? Thank you. FC
It would need to be multiple instances of Kontakt but you can still just use a single instrument rack within a MIDI track. Within that, you'll want your multiple Kontakt devices pre-determined and map the on/off state to the macro so that only one is active at a time, saving CPU.
Your voice is a magic sleep potion. I listen to this every day and sleep like a baby, although it is a very helpful tutorial.

How do you set the same key on your keyboard to launch different scenes?
When you map MIDI key, after the number of escenes, before getting to the inputs and outputs, there is options to map Scene Up, or down
Extremely helpful, thanks a lot. I have a begginer-question. How to link (for ex) "VERSE" to a specifical clips? Thank you

You are so great
Thanks so much :)
Thanks for this! When you change to a different chain do you have access to those chains macros?
Yes! You just need to make sure that the "Auto-Select" button in the chain list within the instrument rack is turned on. Thank you mam
You're welcome! :)
Mam. My cpu usage big
Can you solve my problem mam. Plz🌹

Hi..
How to use One Instance of Kontakt with Multi Instruments in Chain Selector ?

This is not quickly :
