I like to tell people, "Everybody has a father, not everyone has a dad. I have had two." Both great and upstanding men but it was my step father, whom I proudly introduced as my dad, that actually checked out one of your guests as an IP. Even though he was USAF he was water rated and would train up (refresh) and then administer the check rides for Patrick Wayne.
This was so special.
Happy Father's Day to you, Rob!
Thanks, Pryce. It's a good one.
Thanks Rob ! GOOD STUFF ! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY !
Thanks, Darrell
This is a stunningly beautiful production you put together, Rob. I have to, again, make a comment of the great quality of the people of the day.
Happy Father's day to you and thank you for your time on this.
Lee
Thanks, Lee.
That was a great tribute to some of the guys who made movies great. No wonder they called it the Golden Age.
Happy Father's Day, Rob and all the dads at AWOW! Best of health to you all, and many thanks for this interesting video.
Thanks, Arline. RJ's picking me up shortly for what I'm sure will be an exciting outing.
Happy Father's Day, Rob! What a wonderful production. Thanks from all of us in the peanut gallery!
Ha! Thanks, Jeff.
Thank you Rob we just watched this Father's Day show together has a family & it really hit the spot. Thank you Sir.
That's wonderful, Eric. Wish my Father was still around. He would have enjoyed it, too.
Very nice, thank you, it put more of a sense of normalcy to those people.
Glad you enjoyed it, Larry. Thanks
You just created a new favorite for me, Rob. So many sons and daughters of great Hollywood icons. Very well done, Rob; Harry Father’s Day, and thank you.
Thanks, R.
I enjoyed that immensely ! Thank you Rob.
Superbly Excellent!! My Parents Resided In Lone Line, CA. During WW2. Dad Was Stationed At China Lake N.S. And After I Was Born, They Would Vacation Up In The Owens Valley. They Showed Me All Of The Movie Locations. That Was During The 50s/60s. Whenever I Travel Through There Today, I See Things From The Past That Are Forever Imprinted In My Mind. It’s Amazing.
Thank You For All The Memories, Ron. 👏👏👏
What a great idea for a video with a perfect theme for Father's Day. My father loved westerns and no doubt my own love for them derives from his. For me it all started with Bonanza. Every week, It was ''must watch tv'' on the night it came on and this is probably my earliest memory of watching tv with my family as a very young kid. So I associate westerns with my father, and when he passed away, I delved even more into the genre, buying tons of DVDs of tv shows like Gunsmoke, Maverick, Have Gun - Will Travel, and movies and novels and comic books... I was obviously trying to ''keep in touch'' with my dad by submerging myself into westerns. And to this day, whenever I finish watching an episode of a tv western or movie, I gaze up to the sky and ask him: ''Did you liked this one Pa?'' I never heard an answer but then again, my father never was a big talker...
Thanks, Ranger. I wish my Dad was still around to enjoy this, too. He was a big influence on me.
Perfect for Fathers Day! Thanks, Rob!
Enjoyed again, Rob
Thanks, John
My folks split when i was about 6 years old. I "adopted" a lot of movie cowboys as dad figures.
There were some good role models, Joza.
What a loving tribute.
Thanks, Kyrila.

Happy Father's day, Rob & to all those "armchair" Cowboys like me out there. MY DAD was a big western fan and because of him Gene Autry & Roy Rogers and reading western novels became part of my life. Thanks for this show.
So good of you to make notice of:
To be raised in a home with all those westerns and every Cowboy Character
Its these ladies & gentlemen in all it’s makings
Tell us that all of the Southwest was the True West from
“HOP-ALONG CASSIDY” all the way up to the Ponderosa /“the Cartwrights Ranch .

Thanks. RJ's picking me up shortly for an exciting day.
Hard to believe we lost Norman Powell three years ago today.
True.
Great show. A lot of memories.
It was great seeing the clip on Robert Winckler again. I saw the whole interview several years ago and wondered if he was related through my great-great grandmother Elizabeth Winckler-Heath and he is. Our common ancestor is John Steven Winckler who served in General Blücher regiment at the Battle of Waterloo. He came to the US in the 1820s with a brother. A Winckler cousin shared a photo of John Stephen Winckler taken in the 1860s.
Marvelous production rob. I loved it.
Great stuff !! thanks !!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks.
Great show
Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia 🇦🇺

@16:40 The great Robert Forster, one of the absolute best of his day.
He certainly was. Thanks, bassman.
Clint Walker what's a wonderful father to his daughter Valerie❤
Thank you so much, AWOW, Rob! Well done! Compiling the books that have been written by those you've interviewed would make some reading list for those who love Westerns. Nice to be introduced to writer, poet, singer, guitar player - John Mitchum (officially) and learn of his daughter, Cindy's collaborative project; John's "America Why I Love Her is inspired. (LonePine Theater shared it to UA-cam - ua-cam.com/video/CI3Mij6p6zg/v-deo.html)
Thanks, Elizabeth.
@7:05 Enter Uncle Rico ...
Anyone can be a sperm Donor but it takes a really good and understanding man to be a dad my sons were not that lucky
Excellent interviews. alot of history with those folks, very well done. They look so much like their parents.
