Also, there is a financial advantage behind the marriage. I think in America and other Western countries, divorce is culturally ok and women and men both have the opportunity to be financial independent. Also, as someone who experiences panic attacks, it is a learned behavior to hide such instances...I still think he dragged the issue way too long!
Agreed, I thought his exaggerated approach was a bit to Diva like just saying. And also to your point about east and west Concepts about marriage, I totally agree with you that in the western world a lack of commitment and responsibility not only in marriage but in most things is lauded and elevated.
This is why I think the black woman has a harder time dating. Both of the guys are ready for sex, but don’t know how to lead. One says he’s going to be principal. Michael might be booksmart, but he has zero self awareness. Think both him and Meka go by policy when dealing with each other... all theory, but bad in practical. They answer questions perfect. But no conflict resolution. Don’t think she’s attracted to him at all. He doesn’t come off as caring. Play truth or dare. Ask her questions to get to know her.

I agree with you regarding Brandon he is very volatile. It is understandable why he has been by himself and I think his bad behavior has been allowed his entire existence!

I partially agree with your review. I think that Micheal would not choose someone with Meka's strong personality. Imo, he does not know how to deal with that particular personality. She was warned that he does not deal with confrontations well but she ignored that. I believed that in Micheal's mind he sees Meka as a stranger so he is not emotionally invested in the relationship. I believe that the manner in how she confronted him on camera he was not only caught him off guard but also was embarrassed and maybe felt belittled. Men are big on respect. On the flip side, Micheal must have loss in mind. I agree the tension was so thick but walking away should never be an option. Even if it is to sleep on the floor/sofa. I just don't get how someone can take a vow and in less than a week is thinking about leaving. I would not say anything different about Meka. Brandon needs help. I hope when is family sees this they stage some intervention for him. He can potentially be a danger to himself and others.
I agree with your assessment concerning Michael and Meka. I also agree that under different circumstances Michael would not have chosen Meka if he had known her personality was as strong as it is. However, Michael needs to learn how to deal with strong personalities. Individuals who may be a bit more assertive than he due to the fact that he is now about to become a principal. We all know and we all have had strong principled as well as assertive teachers in our past. We recognized that a good principal male or female needs to be able to manage different types of personalities. Now I recognize that not all people neccesarily have the ability to deal with assertive people, I get that. And by, the same token I also think that Mike needs to understand marriage is bigger than his ability to manage his emotions, marriage is a Synergy of two people coming together with their different knowledge, strength and wisdom to right the world and to alleviate the pain and suffering found in it. Because of the marriage mandate to the betterment of life. It will require more commitment and determination on their part. Of course I know they do not subscribe to this understanding of life partnership.
