Look at this! What modern pianists have this kind of posture and stylish elegances. Long gone are true days when the art of piano was truly at it peak.

Guiomar Novaes looks totally immersed, one-pointed in this execution, so beautiful to see such a great soul, pious woman.

I agree! How I wish I had seen her play in person! So grateful for this video and the one of her at the United Nations in 1963.

Amazing but strange -- To see all those wonderful pianists playing in perfect synch! Each of them had their own individuality and uniqueness of style. Yet when they got together and did this, each of them giving up some of their individuality, the result was wonderful. Something to think about!

Ah, those were the days of network TV! And I love this so much: Sidney Foster was my teachers; and Rudolf Ganz was the teacher of my first childhood teacher. Memory lane...

    Quel merveille. Une rareté.
Même une touche drôle avec le moustache du maestro.

Exciting to see my dear teacher, Eugene List and a grand teacher- Rudolf Ganz. I was expecting the A-flat Polonaise before it started and was expecting fireworks during the left hand octaves! Sadly, wrong Polonaise. This was a good choice, because the tempo is straightforward throughout.
