Something worth noting is that Catachan arms work wonders on fantasy beastmen, so one doesn't even have to go for the overly fancy and mutated tzaangors to get their abhuman fix
Huh, strange, last time I looked there was nothing there ... but then again I am sure the last time I bought some Beastmen, it had both Gors and Ungors in the same box. So, thank you!
Suggestion for this great series: Ally combinations - i.e factions that synergize well with one another and ones that doon't, as well as more general tactics revolving around the use of allies and the "allies in the age of darkness" chart. For one, I'm red-green colorblind and they just HAD to use tones that look nearly identical to somebody like myself (other types of colorblindness too?). The other reason is that it is hard for a guy like myself to stay focused on just one faction. I play Night Lords and I'm constantly thinking about ways to effectively buff up the average toughness of the hard-hitting but not so hard-taking (glass cannon?) units in my Terror Assault force. Mechanicum might be the obvious answer, but I'm always thinking about "that next strategy". And, seriously, thank you so much for putting out a "Getting Started in 30k" for EVERY OFFICIAL FACTION! You should be proud - I've learned so damned much listening to this series.
I know this is an older video. But when you mention warrior elite, you aren't limited to grenadiers, as there is the standard infantry squad. Other wise miltia/imperial army is probably my favorite to play, the world is your oyster. Currently planning a second militia army based around pre ww1 Prussia/austria using Victoria minis German themed squads. lots of infantry and artillery along with warrior elite and platoon commands for the 150% discipline meme
You forgot to mention Skitarii for cyber-augmented Imperial Militia troops. Kitbashing Skitarii with Cadians make some awesome cyber-augmented Grenadiers! Or psuedo Skitarii that can ally with Mechanicum as Sworn Brothers! Add Dark Age of the Technology for more exotic weaponry and you basically have 30K Skitarii right there!
The advent of 3D-printing makes this army even more interesting and super affordable. There are tons of Wh40k/30k inspired 3d models out there which you could combine with any 28mm scale 3d model bits you like.
The militia and cults list is possibly the worst list fw has ever written, when compared to what the achieved with vraks and badab it pales in comparison: shallow, lacking a balanced range of provenances, meaningless units, unbalanced force org. As a loyalist player I either end up with retarded mini marines or vanilla infantry spam
Space Wolf Primaris essentially made the whole Warzone Fenris storyline redundant. "Space Wolves have lost their numbers and recruitment pool! Will they die out?! Oh.... wait... never mind, they just got new and superior new recruits."
Following on from Cat's video yesterday, let's take a look at the most utterly customisable force available in 30k right now: The Cults and Militia.

Yeah, but aren't Beastmen out of production?
i don't think so, there are a bunch of kits still on the GW page

Anvil industries has a make your own custom platoon thing
Yes they do, it's quite good too.

I reckon the genestealer cult models might make a decent starting point for a militia, especially if you theme it as being from a mining world.
A cheap quick idea is to take imperial whfb heads(helmeted or cap) and put on the genestealee neophyte heads. Looks quick and good.
I played against a militia list built from fantasy beastmen. Really well done
"Canadians wouldn't hurt anyone" excellent!
Love this vid, I run cults, there were no GSC in 30k tho, tyranids hadn’t even noticed the galaxy till the Battle of Sotag
Hey, there’s more last chance to buy on FW website.
I know, I put up a PSA on our Facebook on Saturday last week.

Love your vids, keep the good work up!
Thanks Gorgazol
Catachan with chaos marauders are a great way to make cult troops.
Use Necromunda
Any advise on modeling for squats?
Finnian Joyce-Velez
Fantasy dwarfs for the levy squads, Kharadron Overlords for the Grenadiers.
Add 40k bits for taste. It’s what I’m doing :)
Oh, and Abhuman Helots and Survivors of the Dark Age for the provenances.

I’m surprised we haven’t seen a “the problem with space wolves primaris” or “remove space wolves from warhammer” video yet.
Kristian Teegerstrom It'd be deserved, fuck the yiffs
