Adding dForce to Static Hair (yet another method)

  • I know there's countless tutorials on dForcing old hair, but I'm trying to make it look more natural and faster to implement. I do this by progressively selecting the tops of strands and applying a smooth weight map.
    The example in this video is quite subtle but hopefully you'll agree it's effective.

    I like this but it's a LOT of work, not sure I'm willing to go that far but I really like what you did here, came out awesome!

    When you want to position the camera so that it's looking at the hair after you have changed the pose, or wanting to look at say the foot, select the hair in the parameters tab then press ctrl shift and A together.

      Sorry, I was referring to the asterisk key on my numeric pad, also over the "8" on most keyboards. Ctrl+*

    Thank you!. Can it reverse too? Dforche 2 the old fashion morph hair? Can you make a video about it?

      The morphs shouldn't cause a problem. It they change the hair position it should dForce it from there. I'm guess an example might be with long hair that drapes over a shoulder?
