I’m 38 weeks today, and my appt (yesterday) the dr already started talking about induction😳. Just stating it was an option. But I really hope it doesn’t come down to induction because I would rather only have the epidural instead of having pitocin AND epidural.
I’m a FTM, 36 weeks, I’ve had shortened cervix since week 25(1.3cm) and have been dilated 3cm for the last month. My OB told me today to start thinking about whether I want to be induced and she’s going to talk me through things next week. Would a balloon catheter even be helpful if I’m already 3cm dilated? Are there other ways to start contractions without pitocin?
