One day, the lion grew tired of hunting and decided to have a feast. "Bring me one animal each day, or I will eat you all!" he roared.
The animals were terrified, but a clever rabbit came up with a plan. The next day, he walked up to the lion calmly.
"You’re late!" the lion growled. "Where is my food?"
The rabbit, without fear, replied, "I’m sorry, mighty lion, but I was sent by the other animals. On the way here, I met another lion who claims to be stronger and fiercer than you."
The lion’s pride flared. "Another lion? Where is this fool?"
The rabbit led the lion to a deep well and pointed to the water. "He lives in there."
The lion peered into the well and saw his own reflection. Thinking it was the rival lion, he roared in fury and leapt into the water to fight.
But the lion couldn’t swim, and soon he was struggling in the water, drowning.
The rabbit hopped away, safe and sound, and the jungle animals rejoiced.
Moral: Sometimes, intelligence and clever thinking are stronger than brute strength.
