The Prairie Fire Band features Rob Anderson on steel Guitar, Brian Pederson on Bass, Tony Purvis on guitar and Rick Ament on drums.
Joining the band for No. 1 West are guest musicians Freddie Pelletier on guitar, Gil Campbell on keyboards, Dave Glowosky and Frankie Rodgers on fiddle and back up vocalists Maple Sugar (Muriel Samson, Pat Martens and Marg Yungwirth).

This one of the first C&W songs I ever listened to. My grandfather was a captain on one of the Canadian Pacific ocean liners
I prefer the Stuart Basore steel guitar work on the album version, but this version is a 'keeper' too! RIP Mr. Hamilton...
