I'm wondering if many of the people making negative comments realize; Lara Fabian sings many of her songs in like 7 different languages! If you watch Utube video's of Lara singing a song in different languages with English Subtitles. You will notice some songs can vary greatly in translation because they're is no equivalent English word! The same applies to songs written in a languages when translated to another besides English. However, what I find really sad is this young lady did a great job and even had the sound track turned off near the end! IDK why, but it appeared one of the judges had the music cut off, leaving her to sing the rest acapella! I believe it threw her off for a moment, she quickly got it together and finished with outstanding vocals. So, putting aside whether this Russian young lady was singing with a "proper" french accent or not... How about acknowledging the fact that she has a very good voice? Why is it so important for some people to criticize instead of complement? BTW, do you have any idea how hard that song is to sing? May peace be with you all... 💚

She was very good . But... Must listen her performance long long time after Fabian because Fabian performance is so powerful that no one can come even close to her original performance and voice. I know she is young and not a professional that's why I am grateful for her ability. .

I am also French and the Russian accent is one of the most beautiful and one I really enjoy. The singer has a very beautiful voice and more importantly, the really interpret the song, she put all her soul in it and for a song like that it is very important, because it tells a story and it's clear she sings AND tells a story. Very well done :)

@Guillaume San Martin and payitforward - Just English language here, though the land of my ancestors is Italy. When I heard Lara Fabian sing "Je Suis Malade" I decided I had to learn French - easier said then done. I understand why French people would not want their language mispronounced as it is such a beautiful language. I'm determined to learn, but is difficult trying to do so on your own. As far as this Russian girl is concerned, a couple of the judges seemed bored by the whole thing, but when she stood her ground and continued singing after they stopped the music, the judges backed off a bit. When she reached that ending note with determination and confidence, but no music, they seemed to have gained respect for her and her talent. I, too, give her Kudos for her spunk. She did a great job!!! I only wish Guillaume, that I understood what they were saying when she finished. Anyway, good for her!! Your comment was very kind, as was that of payitforward. Comments like that restore my faith in the goodness of people.
