Dude, I off-roaded our Macan S in New Hampshire, went camping countless times in US and Canada, been everywhere, slept in it many times, daily drove the crap out of it. But the first thing I taught my subconscious was to change the gears myself. The regular automatic was too sluggish, the sport mode gulped the fuel like I do beer; so the only way to find the middle was to do it by hand. I also feel it may have contributed to the transfer case lasting so long ( fingers crossed 😂).
Not my BMW either. BMW and Porsche are two of my favourite brands. Was a proud BMW owner untill a week ago. Very sad to let my X3 30D go. Waiting to pick up my 2023 Macan S next week. Hoping that it will be a joy to drive.
I wish these were just a little bit cheaper and had a lil more powerful tunes…. I’m seriously looking at an SQ5 and they’re $10k cheaper and their tunes make straight line performance UNTOUCHABLE to most cars on the road….. but I know that Macan handles better cause it weighs 1,000lbs less and it’s a friggen Porsche
Got the 4 Cyl sports ed and it's all the power you need. Soo good on gas and blown away by the perf. Going 60km/hr at 1k rpm is soo cool, i can easily downshift with the paddles to get in the right one.
wow, you are getting terrible mileage! I regularly get 29 to 33 highway and 22-24mpg in sport mode aggressive driving. 17mpg seems like you have an issue with your car. Oh and the jerky transmission probably means your transfer case is defective. Have it replaced under warranty and get a firmware update, it will drive very nice.
BMW hasn't sold the the 5 series touring model in the US since 2010, and I've heard less than1000 sold. So even the ones that are here are very rare. And most are not performance models.
In USA, pick a number from the X series lineup to get anything close to a powerful touring version like in europe. Saw a 135i touring on a trip in Europe...wow.
speed it to 1.75. You're welcome.👍

Whats routine maintenence cost? Oil change, 30k service?
I have a Macan GTS and love it
DUDE HOW DOES IT RIDE ? IS IT SOFT AND DOES YOURS HAVE THE OPTIONAL AIR SUSPENSION ?
Great practical review, my dude.
I love your reviews
Nice Macan S! They are built so much better than a BMW - as you said, no rattles and high quality materials. A 7-year old BMW would be a rattle fest!
Have you driven a 7 year old Porsche ?

Not my 2001 330i with sport package
Low speeds? What's that?

Good review… this is my next vehicle 🚗 currently own Audi 🚙…👌💪💯
Men drive the Macan Turbo...👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I didn’t realize Porsche has made and sold over one billion of these to supply the worlds 2 of 3 women that drive. Thanks for the facts 🏆
2 out of 3 women! That’s a lot more Macan sales than they’ve declared.
lol rit
I have the same and this is the only car I will never sale I want to die with it
Wouldn't something like a BMW 5 series touring handle better and be just as practical?
BMW 5 series won't handle as well as this, and unless your at M540+, not anywhere near as fun to drive
