Unfortunately artist who are True to their roots& show respect for Hip-hop & the culture will never get the props they deserve cuz they didn't sell their souls for $... The best things in life are priceless & this is some 🔥🔥🔥
SHRINES from Armand Hammer is up there. We also got Innocent Country 2 from Quelle Chris. Can't forget R. A. P. Ferreira with Purple Moonlight Pages. Tons of contenders this year. And now with Blu and Exile coming out with this heat...
@@theherbpuffer is the Kota album better than his usual stuff? I usually like his production (love lofi/chill production, which is why I think I like the new Oddisee album more than most) but lyrically he always underwhelms. Kind of like Awon
@@joedorben3504 it's what he talks about and stands for. He raps about what he does, things I relate to. Everyday shit like spending time with his son, chillin on the river, cooking quinoa on the stove, having a lot of colors in his fridge, taking a walk on a Saturday with his girl, little shit in life that you don't want to take for granted. Hes not that rapper that tries to shove as many double entendres or metaphors in his songs. Also, that's awesome you mentioned Oddisee.. I didn't know he came out with a new album. He was my favorite rapper for a while. Checking that out now👍
Top five Blu tracks, easy. Exile, just score a film already. Good lawd! The amount of effort, time, study, etc., to string this lyrical survey of the history of (_____) merits its praise. 🙏🏽 This a different type of dedication. 🙌🏽 "...and if you see the E, drop em'."
In the era of the slept on emcee, where everyone is a WorldStar rapper... Blu is top 5. Been a fan since Below the Heavens, 13 short years ago. Criminally underappreciated.
I teach Hip Hop history at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I'm about to start class today with this video. Been a fan of you two since the beginning and this song makes me feel so proud of you all.
I didn't think this post was real... What's funny is during my listening party in the car this track got reloaded like 4 times absolute fire!! Blu & exile = Chemisty at its finest. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
So much power and research in this video. If you didn't know before this video, you know now. Phenomenal job, Blu! And everyone responsible for the making of this video! ✊🏾
We should All be aware of our heritage, the power of our history and ancestory. The minorities are truly the Majority... All of us, Black, Brown, yellow& red decend from true ppl of ❤& spirit, soul... All that breathes within All of us everyday... Y u think efforts are made So much to make us think otherwise or be unaware of this??? 💯 ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏽✊🏼
Yes this album is what we needed in these times we living in I’m not gonna lie I was tired of hip hop but blu and exile saved it and the album is definitely a true hip hop gem
The west coast already had an immortal before immortal technique. Rass Kass outta Carson came out with his album in 1996 called Soul on Ice which had the deepest rap for that matter the deepest any song ever, called Nature of the Threat (the forerunner of this song). We also had political black Panther rapper, Paris from the Bay Area. His 1991 album where on it he has a skit where he assassinate president Bush 1, got his music investigated by Congress and the secret service.
This song is on the same level as Ras Kass song Nature of the Threat, but sooo different at the same time. Both are hands down the greatest pieces in Rap musik
This tribute message is so far advanced than your last Steez shout out, I am lost for words. I mean this video even ended strategically by the dime if you know what I mean, peepit. #BluBluRappers Definately gonna cop this album.
Harriet Tubman's picture says a thousand words. I never watched the movie that came out but, from what I heard it doesn't depict Harriet Tubman. And George Floyd has an Olmec face. You see them kids at 6:01? that's what they're afraid of. I love y'all
That voice is Jacinto Rhines, my 81 year old father. He's in a nursing home, struggling with dementia.
Wow
He blessed this track! Took it to another level. Peace and blessings to you and your pops.
This album just gave life to hip hop
Kota the friend, Aaron May, Malz Monday, Joey Badass, Mick Jenkins
Did hip hop die again? How many lives does it have? $hit right here is dope to say the least.
There’s been life in HipHop, you just woke up.

Album of the year...for real! They just did it again.
One of them. If objectively, «All My Heroes Are Dead» by R.A. The Rugged Man is AOTY.
SHRINES from Armand Hammer is up there.

Can't forget R. A. P. Ferreira with Purple Moonlight Pages.
