    Ich schätze Ihr Video über Reenactment sehr! Es war so aufschlussreich und informativ. Als jemand, der neu in Reenactment ist, fand ich es sehr hilfreich. Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich die Zeit genommen haben, Ihr Wissen mit mir zu teilen.

    I love the Schaftstiefel/Marschstiefel and want to buy one of them for casual outdoor, such as wandern in the forest. I think I’ll buy some NVA Schaftstiefel because they are not so Loud, because they have rubber sole and no metal nails on teh sole

    As a fellow glasses wearer, can you advise on what glasses you use for re-enactment? Are they original dienstbrille? For now I have been wearing contacts or modern 'period looking' glasses, but would like to get more accurate ones eventually. I love your channel and your unit also has great photos btw.

    • @dergrenadier
      @dergrenadier  Рік тому +2

      Appreciate that! We put a lot of effort in our impressions togerther.
      To answer your question: I used original dienstbrille and now I use original civilian ones.
      New glasses usually are at least a bit different from originals and originals are dirt cheap. In this case the cheap option is also the most authentic one.
      Just have an optician put new glasses in and you are good to go.

    You mentioned that frederricis are known for being a little big in the shaft, do you know any manufacturers that make a marschstiefel without an overwide shaft? (I currently have nestof marschstiefel, and they're very good quality, but the shaft is ENORMOUS)

    Thanks a lot! With respect to footwear, where I live (Argentina), it is very difficult economically to find good footwear, sadly I bought short boots but they are very, very bad copies, where do you recommend me to buy better ones, that does international shipping?

    • @dergrenadier
      @dergrenadier  Рік тому

      You can order frederrici ready to wear from nestof as well. If you don't want those: I believe replik also had viable options a while back.

    Marschstiefel are a particular pain in the ass if you fall between sizes (like yours truly) because you'll be too tight on a size down and too loose on a size up.
    Learning to fold footwraps can save your skin (literally) if this is the case or a good set of marschriemen.

    • @dergrenadier
      @dergrenadier  Рік тому +1

      Choosing your socks right (like with footwraps) also helps in my experience. Otherwise marchriemen are the way to go

    If you want to save money, you can buy a pair of chinese parade boots. They are relatively cheap (around 20 dollars for a pair) and can last a long time. Except for the hobnails they look very similar to the German jackboot

    • @dergrenadier
      @dergrenadier  Рік тому +2

      I like my boots as accurate as possible. For larping maybe they are fine, but re-enactment should be as close as 1 to 1 with what was seen then.

    I'm currently building an impression to be a wehrmacht medic in the 2nd panzer devision. Could you please comment the links to the websight you used to get these boots (or any other gear).

    • @dergrenadier
      @dergrenadier  Рік тому +3

      Don't have links for now. I can give this advise though:
      Uniforms: panther store, schusters, gavin.
      Boots: fredericci (via nestof), at the front, replik.
      Equipment: Nastaro, vincents equipment, xela39.
      These are all proper and some excellent vendors.
