@@GarethLeonard is the Milky Way you took in winter or summer? It looks like summer. Also, do you know what’s the time when the Milky Way arise in the winter? Going to Joshua tree tomorrow
I saw Joshua Tree for the first time....at age 56! And I have lived in SoCal all my life!! It's so beautiful it almost looks fake, like a movie set! I need to go back and this time stay the night!!!!!!!
Thank you all so much for watching! 🙏 If you enjoyed the video, check out episode #2 from Josua Tree now live here: ua-cam.com/video/lOMg6Rk9lEo/v-deo.html 👈 "Best Places to Eat in Joshua Tree National Park." 🍔 🍕 🥞
"Never met Joshua or his trees." Hahaha, that made me laugh right off the bat. Excellent video, my man! It looks beautiful and relaxing out there. I have to go and check it out someday!
Pro TIP: Scout one day before where you want to shot in the night, so you know exactly where you will place the camera and where the sun comes out, that way you can get there easily.
My first time to Joshua tree park was in 1991, i bicycle camped once in the 90s, I've been visiting the park over the past years since then. Great place to do some meditating.
Scary, suspense introduction... then it came the “Milky Way Galaxy”! First time viewing live thru you, Gareth! Magnificent! The famous Joshua Tree (U2). Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful footage! ✨💫💚 AMAZING nature’s beauty! ❤️
I'm also nervous too,why your alone to go there but Thanks GOD your safe and it's amazing experience for you and to all your viewers thank you for your Great videos Stay safe Sir Garreth ♥️♥️♥️
Once again another beautiful high quality video. you for sharing your experiences. I felt the tranquility and peacefulness of the desert. I love how being out in nature puts your mind at ease. The smells, sounds and feel of nature is always a special experience.. 🥰🤟
The Inn, gas a few, very cool and funky cottages/Adobe's to stay at, and the place is quite quaint/beautiful and serene....the food is pretty darn good too, especially the Sunday Brunch!
Another day, another hike up gorgeous mountains and rock formations. Sunset views never get old, no matter where you are. Thanks, Gareth. Too bad you didn't step on that longish rock you mentioned had a name. You know, for good luck. LOL! Looking forward to the next video of more Joshua Tree. Cheers!
Oh my gosh, I was so nervous for you as you were walking through the rock formations in the dark. I kept saying out loud watch out for the snakes watch out for the wild animals! But it was a beautiful video thank you.
Fabulous video! Camped here last weekend, but the moon was almost full and we did not see nearly as many stars. It is fun to watch you adventure, thanks for the great video!
A little note from a desert local: In open area desert spaces everyone should be conscious of wild animals...Coyotes, Bobcats, Snakes, Scorpions and that's quickly off the top of my head. Also for visitors new to a desert area....please make sure you bring dtinking water on your desert adventures and if possible leave word with a loved one...so if you get lost in the desert it would help you be located.
I’m always wildly “impressed” when someone who has never visited in daylight goes out in the middle of the night. The desert can be dangerous as those eyes watching him showed 😳
That sandwich look so good....I love your traveling and exploring videos..not only are they breath taking awesome..you also show some amazing places to eat...awesome...
Love J tree! I did a solo adventure out there last year...because I got bailed on. Spent several hours are arch rock by myself as well. It’s eerie peaceful. I opted to track the MW from the parking lot and composites my shots together. Looking forward to the next video
Again my hat is off to you for presenting another video of the beautiful area of Joshua Tree 🌲 I have never been there but close to it. I would never go in the middle of the night in the dark as you did alone but I would certainly consider going with you or someone to see all this, just not alone. The sandwich you ate looked humongous - that would be easily enough for two meals for me if not three… and eight dollars for a drink is well over priced but they know they’ve gotcha 😱 Many thanks for this beautiful presentation !!! 🙏👍😇
@@GarethLeonard You didn’t find it spooky at all? I think that if I was with you or anyone else would still be a bit afraid of all those critters who should be sleeping at that time…
The place you stayed at is amazing. That alone made the trip a success. My father had a saying about how your eyes look so early in the morning. Something about holes in the snow. Be honest. Did you actually come to a full stop at 4:10? LOL You are SO lucky that you haven’t had any misadventures wandering around in the dark in a new location. 7:18 to about 7:22…you’re really puffing hard, Old Man. All the work in setting up the long shots. You’re all alone. We don’t appreciate your efforts as much as we should. OMG! That sandwich. So much hard work put into filming these videos. Then, going home and putting in a lot more hard work editing them into the beautiful stories we see.
Thanks for sharing this video! It was awesome. The night shots of the star-filled sky, just stunning. I just traveled up from San Diego to Joshua Tree for the first time this last weekend! It's memorizing. I can't wait to go back!! :)
An example of how in some points in our lives we do things that would satisfy our curiosity and at the same time trying a once in a lifetime experience that we could cherish for the rest of our lives. Btw, I'm a filipino subscriber. Take care bro!
going to Joshua Tree to shoot a vow renewal in October and I'm so excited for this! the milky way photography was stunning. I WISH I could stay at that ranch. the outdoor shower and hottub are dope!
Thanks for the comment Delfin! Yes, for the most part it is safe. Just be aware of coyotes and snakes, but they are more scared of you than anything. 😃
We love Joshua Tree! My son and daughter in law live down the road so we go to visit. This is a great little house to stay at. San Diego is beautiful too!
Another great video my brother, seeing the natural beauty of the scenary and the time lapse makes me appreciate the world even more. By the way seeing that vast land with the view of the mountain at 18:46 made me appreciate the time when I visited the Uluru in the red centre of the Australian Outback.
