Intense video. If this is Lime Ridge in Concord, CA, there are some super gnarly dowhills between Treat and Monument blvd. Super steep. All rhe top BMX and motorcycle racers would practice there in the 70s.
@@TimMillernapavalleyfilmworks Thanks & no doubt we are lucky out here! I tend to jump on whatever opportunity comes my way! And if it’s a few hours away I’m fine with that too for a good day on mtbs!
That section @3:22 always escapes me. I've followed locals down it before but every time I'm by myself I forget where that is. I need to go session that flat/ slightly off camber turn on Back9 just before the platform drop, it looks like you were able to carry a decent amount of speed through that section. Killer video as per the usual! You guys are friggin fast!
Sweet yea I was stoked to see some new to me trails & get to ride some different stuff! Good fun day & next time I’m taking my SB100 out to see where my times really stand on those pedaly downs
Yea you could do some flowy laps out here forsure! It’s got a smooth sandy texture and gets a bit fishy as soon as it dries out a bit.. but good flow for the fam with just enough to keep ya entertained 💁🏻♂️
Haha.. think it just looked close! But yea would be down to go back here now that I’ve seen the trails & take my SB100 and see what the Strava times would be on some of these trails that take a heck of a lot of pedaling!
@@rcazarez13 Well right now it must be perfect out.. so I’m sure if it’s not too heavy of rain and your not leaving any muddy tracks it should still drain just fine in most parts 👌🏼
Such an awesome video. The Pov was great! Would Love to ride there! Looks So fun, especially to ride for building some skills. I just ordered a IXS FF Trigger helmet yesterday. Can't wait for it to get here.
Yea I’d say this place is not too hard and very fun for people trying to work on improving simple skills, as there’s a few different features you may not find many places ☝🏼 Glad you enjoyed the video 🤩
I noticed you live in the bay area and I recognize many of the places on your channel. have you been to the graveyard in marinwood? Its my local riding spot and it has some gnarly stuff. If you haven't been you should check it out.
How is the drop at 11:40? I've been eyeing it up now for a few months and it seems super sketch. I can do the drop when you come in if you peel off to the right but with this, I don't want to overcook it. I had a friend come in too slow and lost a pedal and used his ass as a brake going down the landing in between his frame and rear tire. Sick videos!
Nice dude! That’s my go to place to ride. How did you like it? Crazy how fast you are without ever riding there before. GoPro effect on those drops for sure.
@@bike_somm ive pedaled around for 32 years, now i have an ebike, along with my 63 year old dad who has many knee surgeries he gets to come out and enjoy the hills and i can ride with my teenage nephews and son on a regular basis, safe shredding 🤙🤙🏁
@@braap_biglunch nothing wrong with Ebikes! 👌🏼 I’m all for anyone who rides bikes of any kind so long as they know how to do so properly.. just the way some people use them can be easily become the problem when they start climbing all the DH trails or don’t respect the other riders they are passing on the climbs I know many people who use them for the right reasons & many who just use them to be lazy and drink more beers.. so it’s always two ways debate 👍🏼
It has to be EBikes! There's no way the damage was from months of dry weather, lack of trail maintenance & normal bike usage. Regardless, another good video from Bike Somm.

Awesome 👏🏼 yea I’ve only ridden out here a handful of times 🚲💨 Fun Place
I grew up riding those trails back when the farmer would chase us on a four wheeler and shoot at us with salt rock circa 1980's
🤘 This is why we live in Cali! We can literally ride year round.
Should post a map in the intro of each video. You seem to cover a lot of ground.

GoPro effect is real for those drops. In person they are much bigger to our eyes haha
Yea the GoPro tends to tell lies quite a bit.. ☝🏼😅
Glad to see a legend ride the local trails
Thanks again man! I’m just a old Golf Pro who loves MTB! And man we sure have quite a few awesome trails in the Bay Area to choose from! 🙌🏻✨🚲💨😎
@@bike_somm we have to ride again some time
Looks like a good place to break out the hardtail.

Bike Somm getting some freeride in!!! 🤟😂
Hahha Justin makes the freeride world seem simple.. 😅
how did you not hit the tree at 9:09? ha that place looks super fun, lets ride there soon

LOL that blue oak climb up to Back 9 and Thorn alley is the worst.
silky smooth riding. can’t wait for more videos this year
Thanks 🤙🏼 Definitely looking forward to editing more fun content soon to come!
Rad looks like a fun trail system!
Yea not bad at all.. may have to go back a second time now that it’s not all dusty
Lime ridge our back yard ... really nice place .. saludos amigo jay
Justin is badass I call him El chingon 😂🤙🏻
Haha yea he’s an awesome dude! 😎
Love the vids! It’s helping me discover a lot more riding in the area
Awesome 👏🏼 Stoked to hear I’m able to expand your Bay Area trail horizons! There’s so much good trail all around the bay!
Oh damn, first dry weekend I'm there
Use to be my backyard...haven't been there in a year. .need to go back
Yea I bet it’s nicer now after the rain.. tho we could use just a bit more right about meow! 🤞🏼😼
Any body knows if you can ride this trail when is wet? Asking for a friend 😆
My guess is heck yea.. just might be quicksand in spots 😛
@@bike_somm we are trying to go this Saturday but it may be wet. We don't want to be on trouble for damaging the trail

How the hell are you showing me new trails, in my own backyard? Thank you though, will do it this weekend.

Finally fixed it.. maybe a few vids from now tho lol
Ebike city hahaha.... what a joke 🤦
Lolz... yea perhaps but I’m just stoked I didn’t grow up riding ebikes and I’ve learned to deal with the “suffering” 😅
