As a former library ftk player lol... The genuinely most toxic aspect of this deck is it is a true, reliable first turn kill. Doesn't matter what you bring or side when it can instantly win the first game before you can make a single move. This hands down makes it the least pleasant deck in goat. There is no siding, there is no countering surprise factor when the deck could beat you based solely on a coinflip. That being said, there is an actual extent to which Library requires 'skill'. A good Library player needs to know when to gamble and go all in with resources. A bad one burns themselves out and leaves their board open. The best counter is capitalizing on a failed FTK and setting up your board with the suggested sides to ensure you can then disrupt them. A disrupted library is a guaranteed loss finally, library sucks to play against because it takes so much time. for that reason though, it's also a drag to use. it's fun for the initial troll, but actually sitting down and doing consecutive duels with this deck is exhausting for everyone. That's why I think other OTK decks like reasoning will remain more appealing because at least you can get the coin flip over with in minutes vs having to watch a library player mill an entire deck down to the last card
Another part of why Stein into Balter is good is that the deck plays 2 Upstarts which give you additional negations. Other cards that are already played that happen to be good against Library are King Tiger Wanghu and Ojama Trio. Wanghu is obvious, but the point of Ojama Trio is that tokens can't be sent to the graveyard as costs. The cost of Reversal Quiz is to send every card in your hand and field to the graveyard. If you control tokens then you can't pay this cost and Reversal Quiz can't be activated.
@@lordofthered1257 No side cards win you the match 100% of the time. You lose a lot of games on turn 1 despite your siding choices, you just realize it sooner against Library FTK because it plays out quicker.
@@TKGriffiths That's why FTKs are not good for the game. I play goats to play a slow paced, back and forth, ebb and flow, grindgame. I do not play Goats to get FTKd. F this I'm going to play perfect circle format instead.
Question I've had for a while related to RML FTK: In the DS game YGO Nightmare Troubadour (~Summer 2005), an Exodia variant of RML FTK is very strong, particularly because the DR1 erratum of Different Dimension Capsule at that time didn't say to shuffle the deck after searching your card, so you could stack your deck by removing unfavorable draws and playing around card order. Is this version of DDC accurate to paper play at the time? I always assumed this was a misruling/glitch. Update: You do shuffle afterward! Thanks for the clarification in the discord
I think you're underrating Cursed Seal (one of my fav cards) and overrating Spell Vanishing. I think the deck usually plays Spell Reproduction so sending spells to the grave with Vanishing isn't as impactful as Cursed's effect. If you hit Trunade, Oath, or Convulsion with Curse, you win the duel. Those 3 spells are basically required for the deck to run. Just my thoughts :)
Hallowed Life Barrier is pretty underrated IMO. Lets you fix your hand and possibly even fill your grave (if you're playing Chaos) while completely shutting down big burn plays and/or letting you live to see another turn.
If the last card in your deck is either black pendant or reversal quiz, you're kinda screwed I guess? Unless you manage to shuffle something else to be the last card

It’s going to be really hard to get this off because they are going to trunade you atleast 75x before going into the pendant play. It could happen but it’s going to be very unlikely
It’s not the best card but if you are already playing it is good enough. Especially if you go first you can atleast know the deck you are facing and change your current gamelan and if you are fortunate enough to get more turns you can potentially break up plays and win.
It’s pretty telling when one of the more readily available guides for this deck is not even about how to run the deck, but about how to defend yourself when some other degenerate runs this deck.

If your going to side specific cards Cursed Seal, and Prohibition are very strong.
Another good option is to play Library FTK yourself, and FTK them before they FTK you.
Live long enough to see yourself become the villian? 😮

True, i Like cursed seal alot in the Side also vs. Reasoning
How well would King Tiger be at blocking them from summoning Library?

the new builds with toon cannon solider into last will are really consistent - more than the older versions of this deck without them
Do you have a decklist?

Neko Mane King can be better then Watcher as well by getting you the turn.

Oh thats a great point I can see that really causing alot of problems!
I promised to never actually use cursed seal again, so I would use Spell Vanishing myself.
"Cursed Seal of the Forbbiden Spell" on Trunade or on Convulsion...
That’s a huge W I experienced in my play testing against my own Exodia library deck
And doesn't do anything going second against an FTK.

nice intro!
Mystik wok is nice too. Chain it to black pendant sacrificing pretty much any monster to win the game.

neko mane king against card destruction
Good. It's not goat format with a different banlist.
Can we just ban this deck in tourney play
Don’t want to play against it but it’s always good for the meta to have more decks in the game

As long as you draw it AND get to play it before you lose...

Dude I have an exodia deck that just shuts everything down. You will see… you ALL will see 😂
Cringe deck, great showcase of why people shouldnt play this :)
Prohibition with a Solemn next to it would be super solid as well.
That doesn't do anything going second.
This deck is hard to play, give it a try and see if you can win consistently
Just wait until you see library FTK in all top events from now on because some weird sociopath plays it and can play it and wins with it.
Arguably Trap Dustshoot is not the best against this deck.. since it runs so many reloads it's bound to get rml back in no time
*that's if you send it back, seeing as the deck is 85% spells
