This mission was borderline impossible on Veteran difficulty. So easy to die when you where manning the machine gun, and the poor visibility while wading through Nova 6 in your Hazmat suit made it difficult to spot enemies even when using the thermal scope. Sometimes you just end up looking at a wall or some random post because you don't know any better, and random fires scattered about were highly distracting. Meanwhile the enemy soldiers continue to have pinpoint 360 no-scope accuracy as soon as you rounded a corner. Almost as bad as WaW grenade spamming on high difficulty campaign.

It wouldn't be so bad if the damage intake was consistent. The cracks only occur when you receive headshot damage. Meaning you can either tank for days from stray bullets afar or the cracks can grow suddenly from a few lucky hits while taking it close and indoors. The IR scoped Enfield was a godsend here.

I low key thought they were going to turn into Zombies and then you have to finish the mission with a zombie outbreak 💯
Pretty cool concept, ngl.
I'm curious what nova 6 does to you
@@MagnumLoadedTractor its like ebola virus makes you bleed from the inside out until you die in a matter of 4 minutes

"You rupture your suit, you'll be dead in minutes!"
*PROCEEDS TO GET SHOT A THOUSAND TIMES AND LIVES*
This mission was borderline impossible on Veteran difficulty. So easy to die when you where manning the machine gun, and the poor visibility while wading through Nova 6 in your Hazmat suit made it difficult to spot enemies even when using the thermal scope. Sometimes you just end up looking at a wall or some random post because you don't know any better, and random fires scattered about were highly distracting. Meanwhile the enemy soldiers continue to have pinpoint 360 no-scope accuracy as soon as you rounded a corner. Almost as bad as WaW grenade spamming on high difficulty campaign.

One of my favorite missions and a pretty difficult one on Veteran Difficulty. I remember dying a lot on the Nova 6 part of the mission
12:00 pvt. Fulsang had the most horrible death imaginable if you look at his eyes they’re absolutely wasted from the helicopter attack before the nova 6 was released and he was blinded so he didn’t know that the gas was coming you can just hear him shouting for help but it was all in vain, he died a horrific death. Rip Private Fulsang
No that’s the nova 6 necrotic properties, basically his eyes started bleeding from the gas and his skin decomposed incredibly quickly
They need to remaster this game
They need to remaster from COD 4 all the way up to BO2.
Its kinda sad because they only remaster Modern Warfare Trilogy

I knew something was wrong with reznov after vorkuta because in vorkuta you cant shoot reznov with the pistol because he was "alive" but in later missions you can shoot reznoz ( without killing him) because hes not really there which is kinda cool

I like how that hazmat part just gave you an old-school limited health without any regeneration

Mason: "One in the same thing."
The truth was staring us down this whole time, but the gameplay kept us laser focused away from it. Flawless Execution, Black Ops is undeinably the best Call of Duty Campaign ever made.

This the only call of duty that was always based on all true events this is why I pick this game over any other call of duty besides modern warfare.

I remember playing rebirth practically 20 or so times. This mission was the best climax in all of cod games
Always felt like one of the biggest shortcomings of this game was the awful gun sounds. That turret machine gun on the vehicle sounded so bad haha
agree, sounds like popcorn...
Ya that was a problem and the guns seem so weak. Like they shoot .9mm or .22. They sound awful and have no recoil.
Yeah and the explosion sounds too, not even close to realistic, but still a great game overall.
It's cod
You gotta appreciate the soundtrack for this game, it's amazing
When someone farts in the car and the doors are on child lock
The Ak reload sound effect is so good.
Don’t remember playing this mission
then GET THE FUCK BACK ON
That's because this mission was carried out the C.I.A, not you.
Coronavirus: I’m deadly
Nova 6: I can kill under 5 seconds

The first signs that reznov isn’t real is after they escape the prison or gulag you can’t hear reznovs footsteps at all after that event during the campaign

I really like how Hudson has a bundle that references this mission, but I wish it would've come with a thermal em-2 (which is what the Enfield seems to have become in bocw) but it's neat nonetheless (:

I don't know why but this mission was the hardest on veteran in BO1, I passed the others with not much problems but when you're playing as Hudson while on the armored vehicle you have no cover so it's easy to get killed also the MG overheats quickly.
