Every year this video comes out right on time!
Thank you for the video with great ideas as always. I do this theme every June with my daycare children and am excited to use some of these...actually MOST of these!
It's a fun theme. Glad you can use some of the ideas!
Learning so much here
Happy to hear that!
Do you know where I can purchase the large rolling magnetic board?
It’s available on Amazon: amzn.to/3qqBLBb
How do you keep your 2 & 3s to keep their hands off their friends and not think carpet time is for wrestling???
Keeping them engaged in the activity. The more engaged they are, they want to participate in what we are doing. If a child(ten) is having a challenging time, I can have my assistant sit with them. If they still aren't wanting to sit, then I tell them it looks like they aren't ready to be at circle right now and they can look at a book in the reading area and return when ready. (I will ask them shortly after they are there, "Are you ready to come back to the circle?") I give them that chance. If it's a number of children, that tells me to end circle time, turn on some music, and dance. Some days are like that.
Do you change your activity everyday ? In this video is it only for a day that they have to do everything in all areas in the classroom.
We usually change activities with each theme - approximately 2 weeks. However, I will tweak things if I feel the children are not interested in an activity, or if I see them more interested in something else. In other words, I am not rigid about the timeline. I am always observing how my students are interacting with the materials and adjust if needed at any time. But overall, it's usually 2 weeks.

@@malounavales861 - I am going to do a video hopefully within the next couple of weeks talking about this.
