Great raw footage! Love to hear your breath and bodyboard sounds in water besides the usual shit of pumpum music or punkyhardcoreta... and love the POV on a 'small wedge'?, hard to found videos of the wedge with that size it's always kind of huge monsters rolling on that small place and all completely packed with riders of all kind... an assumable size and not even too crowded looks so funny! And with two weeks flat here in north atlantic that vid looks so great!!

Hey Mike!! I've been watching your vids for a while and he shots are so freaking amazing!! I love the shots that you can get while out bodyboarding because I live to surf, skate, Bodyboard and wakeboard!! Newport Wedge and surrounds seem to be very consistent for waves. I guess the fact that it is still so hollow and powerful, even on small days, helps a lot. Are there very many days in the year, on average, when you guys don't get rideable waves there?..
its pretty inconsistent just like any other spot in my opinion, during el nino in 2015-2016 we had more than usual swell but wedge hasn't broken overhead since september as of right now
Wedge=chaos. Saw it for my first time in the 80's while on a vacation. Damn near shit my pants.

58 now used to do this at 18 when I was in SoCal.
im living at the inland of europe and go surfin just once a year for 4 weeks, im missing the sea and surfing or being in the water so damn hard, if you guys live at the sea appreciate it and enjoy your time there, im fuckin jealous:(

Do you think maybe you could do some videos of you surfing the Cliffs in HB it's also the first parking lot north of golden west. It has okay waves that's where I surf it's really steep take off but it's pretty cool. 🇺🇸🌊🏄😎

+GoPro hero Kid each one fits different feet, i would get something comfy , a long time ago i had tech 2's and they were the most comfy but vipers are the most efficient in my opinion

How come it's in slow motion?
all my old pov raw footage used to be in slow motion in order to utilize the quality settings to be able to speed up and slow down the video, majority of users are watching on cell phones and don't have that feature so i changed it to real time some time ago

+Hopeforsurf hahaha every wave and swell is different , all i can say is I've never had a double wave hold down, and i believe intervals between sets average around 16 seconds so between popping out the back quick or 16 secs ish

in shore break you end up on the beach anyways so no, when it comes to deeper water breaks like huntington you just have to try to land everything you do, if you don't you got swim all the way in to get your board

that would make sense. I'm using my dad's old board and that hing has got be at least as thick, if not thicker than my 9'0 long board
