My black sweatpants were folded on the bottom of my bed. I thought it was my 🐈⬛ cat. I talked to her for a while before I realized my cat was standing behind me the whole time.😂

😂 once I talked to "my cat" for several minutes (from my bedroom window which leads to the catio) to find she wasnt there, it was a shadow..... I felt specially stupid! I was so engaged in our conversation 😅

Once I had a black cat. Didn't realized it was sleeping on the floor at night... Step on the tail. ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE!!! 😵😫Cause it was happened at night. Everyone was asleep 😂

I can very well understand this! We live in a grove with lots of ferns and other large plants under the trees. We panicked when our black kitty walked out the door one evening and did NOT want to be found. Walking with flash lights calling and looking for Vladdy was an exercise in futility; a totally black cat hiding in a "jungle" during a very dark night! He was gone for three days, during which I could not eat or sleep. I looked day and night and rang his dinner bell. I left the doors open so he could enter the house on his own. He finally showed up the third night all covered in spider webs from crawling under the vegetation. I praised God for the miracle since we have coyotes in the area and certain birds of pray.
I just love black cats, though...❤❤❤❤❤ I love my Vladdy.

My Mink passed away March 10th and he looked just like Cole, only short-haired and would scare the crap out of me. I would only see gleaming eyes in the darkness, but he was the silkiest, sweetest cat I ever owned. 😢

Yes. THIS. And don't forget the OTHER problem: you can't see them in the dark at all. My poor house panther has nearly been squished by humans too many times, as we climb into bed or set a load of laundry down, because we don't see her until MRRROOOWWW.

You perfectly described without words minus the ending how I feel about my miniature shadow panther... (Bombay cat). The only thing I would add is them teleporting through corners and cracked doors... I see her everywhere but then look again and it's nothing, even right next to herself. It can be terrifying at times but she's so cute and friendly that once I find her I feel better again.

Get my keys and out the door I go walked one Block to the Laundromat put the basket down get coins come back and the attendant says to me you know cats aren't allowed in here. I said ok she pointed to the basket then I reached down and he open his blue eyes, I was like .....that's the last time I do laundry without my glasses on.😅
