Great reaction, as usual! Absolutely true, Amira was self-taught at her very beginnings, but quickly after this wonderful performance, she had formal music lessons, with a vocal coach. Actually, she has had several teachers during the last ten years and she learnt a lot...
And you're certainly right, to study music in a conservatory or a college, as Amira did a couple of months ago, can look like a gamble, to some extent. However, IMHO, almost all the great sopranos afforded this risk during their carreer, and they won... And I assume that Amira will win too 😊
Amira won Hollands Got Talent. She did 3 songs on Hollands Got Talent. O Mio Babbino Caro, Nessun Dorma and Ave Maria all 3 perfomances are on YT. Amira in her first perfomance of O Mio Babbino Caro told the judges she never had singing lessons, she was self taught. With winning Hollands Got Talent Amira won a trip to Las Vegas with her family. Not only that she also won the prize of singing for an audience in Las Vegas just like Angelina recently did. There is a video of Amira performing in Las Vegas on YT. The video is in Dutch but it may work with subtitles on. Just look for Amira Willighagen Las Vegas.

I think if comparing Amira to some other young singers with similar type operatic voices... Amira did not choose that route in her early teens.. .she has had singing teachers yes but she likes to sing a variety of genres and hasn't limited herself to formal conservatory type singing. She is now studying music at university.. but I don't think.. not sure ..but don't think that it's purely a music college..
