Never caught one yet , but love steelhead where i live in canada , awesome views and you could have had deer for dinner just needed to trade rod for gun yum yum .

Hi, 😄 It's a fairly small river and has local (non migrating trout, at least that's my understanding). However it is actually a spawning river for migrating trout, but the river itself doesnt have a lot of bigger rapids for bigger station trout... so therefor it's mainly smaller non-migrating trout (which is called 'tonko' in finnish😅) Someone correct me if I'm wrong on my view. 😄
So we were focusing solely on grayling, and didn't catch any trout on this trip. (but I do know there are specific areas of this total 110km river are that are preservation areas for trout spawning.)

It's a fairly small river and has local (non migrating trout, at least that's my understanding).

I caught small trouts there, but the target fish is grayling. Also some whitefish in the quieter regions. Those are hard to catch.
