Clark is attracted to Rudy (who has no clue). Arab Dad picks up on it, and enjoys making Clark uncomfortable by calling him "Coque". Some might think that Arab Dad is being homophobic, but ..speaking as a gay man myself..I disagree. Arab Dad enjoys making EVERYONE uncomfortable, so he's being inclusive.

This will become more severe as people age. When I was young, I would always have music playing at home, in the car, trying to fall asleep in bed. But now I'm in my 50s, I prefer silence a lot of the time to be focused on my thoughts or just be in the moment. If I listen to something, it's usually an ebook or podcast, because I'm actually gaining new information/knowledge from them.

I had to Google it and... there it was... I'm speechless! I wish he would talk a little more about this, if he felt embarrassed at first, if his family knows about that, what he thinks about the ethics/morals of doing that and so on. I agree being autistic can effect your comfort... loud noises etc.
However, music is super cathartic for me. Even loud music. It's just how it fits my mood. I do find your voice to be quite relaxing... which is nice. I haven't yet seen much of your videos as of yet. I'm not one to "watch" as much as listen. I turned my television off years ago. I don't do well sitting still. Yeah I think as long as we are all cognizant of the fact that some of us really need that background noise to function, and some of us can't function with it, and we're compassionate with each other, we can all get past it. If someone is riding passenger with me, I make sure to let them know first that I usually listen to loud music on the drive, and I ask them to tell me if the music is too loud for their comfort, or if they need a break, or want to put on some of their own stuff.

Sometimes I feel like a failure as a musician because I can perform moderately in too many different things, from a handful of instruments to recording, mixing, producing etc. So I feel impostor syndrome and have to remind myself it was my circumstances that brought me to this point and there's value to having my skills wide instead of narrow.

Your skits tell the truth, which I can't now that I'm back home, because I would be perceived as a "white woman racist". I got "hooked" when I saw the series "Arab Dad gets ransom call for his son" . I couldn't stop rewatching it through tears of laughter and recognition. By the way, is it possible for you to make videos on their insanely dangerous driving techniques? You are extremely talented! .. i LOVE the character of Arab dad, I'd love to bump into him in the street. I also like the way you capture a sense of feeling with your eyes/facial expressions on the other characters .

The Highly Sensitive Person is a great book by Dr Elaine Aaron. Not being able to stand loud noises is one trait of f the HSP. Being an HSP is a great thing and is very misunderstood. I highly recommend it.

Do you listen to Arabic music? If you do, what singer or musician from the past one hundred years do you like and would recommend people to listen to?
Yeah, too late for Q&A but I hope you answer this

I agree about the music. If you like the song of crickets come to England in the summer, I find the gentle sounds of leather on willow very relaxing… ☺️ 😁

Wow , this particular Q&A surprisingly still revealed some stuff about you i didn't expect. It was pretty intimate 😅. Thanks for being so honest and personal. The thing about you overplaying it a little bit to trst the waters at a first meeting, was pretty insightful. Although i myself am not like that, i can use it to understand better if others act weird in a first meeting. The voice of a person being an essential part of liking/ disliking a person did strung a chord with me. Keep going Rudy, i personally like your comedy and your music and also when you combine the two like in the horse song. Love from Belgium

Happy New Year, Rudy…wishing you health, happiness, and continued success!
Found you through Arab Dad, and recognized and loved him not only for how funny your videos are, but also because of personal associations (I spent the first 18 years of my career working closely with several Egyptian and Turkish engineers, and grew up with a Syrian family who were my father’s lifelong friends). So glad that Arab Dad led me to discover more of your work! The content is excellent, and your smooth and mellow voice is always a pleasure. Thank you for sharing your multitalented self with us all, Habibi
Adding my emphatic agreement to your opinion regarding the seeming pervasive need for blasting music…there *is* music in Nature, and it soothes my soul. Out in the woods, the sound of a breeze approaching that touches skin and hair as it draws the eye up to shivering leaves overhead makes me quietly happy. I will never understand why people even bother to go out into nature if they are the sort to bring loud music and a miasma of overpowering body spray with them (and polluting my experience while they are at it).
Also, one of the first things I would do when visiting my mother was to ask if she would mind turning off the ever present tv news in the background. If we are talking, you’re not watching and listening to it anyway, so why have the distraction and noise level that needs to be spoken over?!? On a related note, why have harsh artificial lighting when you have windows to allow natural light in? Then again, I’m diagnosed autistic😁
