This was such a fucking dope game. You were JUST BARELY fast enough to beat out two extreme high roll potential boards on the absolute final turn before they went into unbeatable pop off tier stats. Truly a great game to show the power of early 4 star midgame tempo heroes like this. GG
From someone who played battlegrounds on release and then haven’t revisited for maybe 5 years, it’s nice that they redo interesting things like the buddies. It’s new to me 🙃

Anomaly season is not what BG shouldve been doing. The craziness is so long that ppl starts grieving
I do wonder if inverting the cost decreases on buddies to be 3 on a loss and 2 on a win/tie would make it better or worse. It could give a huge risk/reward angle for playing greedily that tempo plays could hugely punish with high damage but it could also backfire hard. As it stands I think a lot of these timed events adding win more mechanics seems to be one of their core issues, in addition to locking in playstyles that can be hard to diverge from.
I'd imagine it'd change the game into powerlevel to 4 quickly for practically everyone. Personally, I'd just like to see -2g or -3g for everyone every turn. I don't love the snowball effect of hitting early game.
