I used the code as well and was a bit surprised?! I thought it would be a one off thing…and figured it was already used. Needless to say, I was able to download it. I just recently purchased DCC to jump in on a monthly Lankhmar campaign at my local Game store. I read the books in the late 1980s, alas my father made me throw them out as “satanic” 🤦🏻♀️. I’ve found myself slowly replacing things as I refocus on my love of sci/fantasy. I’m excited to play DCC as well as a campaign in Lankhmar. I live near Indianapolis and hope maybe to play a game at GenCon this year. That and Pathfinder! Thanks again so much! 💜

Leiber is such a unique and important voice in 20th Century Fantasy and especially for the Fantasy TTRPG hobby. The Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser stories are wild. They don't always hit with me, but they usually do. I've really got to get this to my table. It's just such a fun setting.
FINALLY someone who pronounces 'Leiber' correctly! & I've always pronounced 'Ffafhrd' to rhyme with 'Bafford'. Great vid also, liked and subscribed! Keep it up!

I have the TSR version of Lankhmar. The map looks very similar. The TSR version also has open portions in the map with a supplemental book that has additional map squares to customize Lankhmar. One of the things that is somewhat problematic with DCC is that you really have to have the book to be a spell caster, since you need the tables to cast spells (funny dice not withstanding). Which is all well and good, since spell casters are not really what I want to play in DCC. D&D I usually play clerics and bards. Thieves also. Because there is honor among thieves.
Thanks, that does look a great box. I read 6 books, the "Swords" series, many years ago, however, all but one of them I found quite a drag to read. The collection of short stories in "Swords against Death" I enjoyed a lot more. I bought the AD&D version sourcebook but wasn't impressed. When it comes to swords and sorcery settings and books, I much preferred the Thieves World stories set in the city of Sanctuary.
Great video, I've been curious about this box for a couple years. I know it's maybe against the whole spirit of DCC, but I wish their newer books were in full color, just like Chaosium did with their 7th edition products. To be honest, I'm not a fan of DCC art at all, and that has stopped me from getting the books, even though I'm interested in some of the mechanics, I don't find the art inspiring, like I do on many current RPGs from Free League (I even like the B&W old school art/layout on Forbidden Lands a lot) or even D&D 5e. Anyway, it still seems like a cool product, and I'll try getting at least a DCC core rulebook in the future. Cheers from Chile Michael!
