- This is a story about climbing and flying off the highest peak in New Zealand with a light tutorial about the nose cobra launch. Comment below if you like a in-depth tutorial about the nose down cobra!!
Easily one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seeen
A New Zealander taught me how to fly PG in 1996. Jackson Wyoming (kiwi Greg) we called him.
That looks absolutely rad.
Outrageous. Wow! Well done to you all.
Nice Work Chendog!
Well done man, fantastic job👌👌👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful climb, beautiful flight footage. Congratulations on a lovely day out 😊 !!
Many thanks!
Yewwwwww that's so sick! Great to have an example of nose down take off too, I'll have to give that a try down the park sometime!!
The tutorial is out :)
Nice video. I love the cobra nose down launch. You executed that perfectly! Also your accent is cool, I have not heard this mix before. Best of luck in future endeavours. Cheers Jerry✌️🇨🇦
Wow, thanks!
Cheers mate
Amazing video!
Sick! Hoping to climb Mt Cook in December, although as I can’t paraglide we’ll just have to get back down the traditional way. I guess from a certain perspective you could consider para-alpinism cuts out some risk in the descent, in that you aren’t descending back through the gunbarrels as the conditions warm up. That takeoff looks outrageous though!!
Yeah! Absolutely!! We landed at the Tasman carpark by 10:30am!! Even saved the heli back!! Unreal!!
Nose down cobra is new to me! Great video :)
Go check out the tutorial:)
Great work David! Wow
Cheers mate
This is lid af! Dude, we are coming to NZ this November for the entire month or perhaps even longer. You've got to introduce all the best launch sites by then.
Haha!! I’d love to!! If I end up going back for few months
Man awesome channel and content ✌
Cheers mate
Nice Take Off 👌
awesome - this is it
Need more video of the flight! And the landing too..
GoPro run out battery
nice.could you get back if you had a speedflying wing that would be safer to launch?perhaps that wouldnt give you time to spot other routes
I would not use my speedwing on that launch!! Too much risk when you have crampon on !!
What size Run and Fly is that and what is your total flying weight ?
climbers were the ones that created paragliding only to avoid the repel.
Prolly safer to fly that do the descent on more than a few peaks.
Definitely safer than walk down pass the gun barrel

0:13 - You think its a Intro-Worthy Snipped that shows you harrassing some Sheep? Thats why no one likes Speedflyers!
