A lot of the EMD units like the Slugs, UP Railpower, the Conrail Unit and other were built at the shops and were being transported west to enter service
Very nice video! This overlook is one of my favorite spots. It provides such a nice view I the curve. That 11A was awesome! 8098 looks sharp! Great stuff.
Ahah! I knew you'd get on top of this one! Great to be the first one to get the Heritage unit riding the rails! Now you gotta be the first one to get em alive lol. Great consist on that one. What more could you ask for???
Me and my dad were just there I'm 13 and we wanted to get a better view like this guy got and we didn't want to pay. Just right before the tunnel you enter to get to the curve office thing & the gift shop , theres a little place to park right before the tunnel on the side of the road. If you park there then walk to the right of u, you'll eventually see a rope a few feet up. If you climb up the hill with the rope, you'll get up there eventually. But watch out or they'll tell if they catch you lol
It says "0 views", so technically I'm the first one! Damn this was done right, the process was cool not to mention the 22W? that came down at the right time. I've definitely got a new favorite locomotive in that 8098.
NS sure goofed. How on earth did they think that a GP40-2, and SD40-2 and an SD60 could lug that entire train, not to mention the dead weight from the RP-E4Cs, ES44AC and the MP15?
Thank you NS 6677 for posting this video. This was a real treat! All that power was really neat to see!
The Conrail Heritage unit looks amazing. Another great vid Ron!
WOW! Awesome! You've got the first video of it on the net! AND in HD! I subbed!

Omg that was a very cool railfaning spot with a few switcher locomotives,Ns trains, and a heirtige unit!!!!
@trainboy437 The Mother Slug and 3352 were the only ones running, the trailing weight was too much for the Units online

Even without the heritage unit that's a good train
@NS6677 That's even worse. Someone in the road power department did a little miscalculating.

All except for the Conrail Heritage Unit
Back in the old days before internet I thought Conrail was owned by convicts sorta like the Employee Owned North Western. My bad.
